UAE participates in the 27th meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of Civil Service and Administrative Development entities of the GCC

The UAE participated in the 27th meeting of their Excellencies the Undersecretaries of the Civil Service and Administrative Development entities in the GCC. His Excellency Saif bin Ali Al Kaabi, Acting Director General of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau in the State of Qatar, presided over the meeting, which took place at the start of September in the capital city of Qatar, Doha.

With a delegation led by its Director General, Her Excellency Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, and featuring His Excellency Ibrahim Fikri, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) represented the UAE at the meeting.

The meeting reviewed several topics related to joint cooperation in the fields of civil service. The GCC Strategy for Civil Service and Human Resources Development (2021–2025), which was adopted by the Supreme Council in its 41st session, was the most important of them. They also discussed the initiative to implement joint training programs and workshops among GCC, ensuring the investment in human capital. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the mechanism for implementing the practical training project, the exchange of experts, and the program prepared for honoring distinguished individuals in the civil service sectors of the GCC for 2024.
