Future Government Talents

“Jahiz” is one of the major transformational projects launched by the UAE government. With the aim of enhancing the readiness of federal government talents and supporting them with future skills. ” Jahiz ” initiative, through its digital platform, offers a specialized journey to develop four groups of skills most closely related to the future directions of government work. These skills include: (Digital Skills, Data and AI Skills, New Economy Skills and 10X Skills). Digital Skills: Digitalization has transformed our lives on many levels and its application on government work has numerous benefits through utilizing various technologies such as Blockchain, cloud computing programming, web 3.0, and the Metaverse. Data and AI Skills: The Fourth Industrial Revolution contributes in creating a competitive national economy that is based on knowledge and innovation. Hence, it is essential to build talent capabilities around current and future technologies. New Economy Skills: The new economy is one that is built on harnessing new technologies as a core capability. Such an approach has a direct and indirect impact on our lives and the environment. 10X Skills: These are the skills of accelerating and multiplying the effect of projects and initiatives. As the world around us rapidly changes, it becomes critical for us to ensure keeping up with that change using an arsenal of agile and innovative measures. Entrepreneurship Leave for self-employment for Federal Government UAE National employees

The Entrepreneurship Leave for self-employment for Federal Government UAE National employees initiative has been developed as part of the Initiatives of the Next 50. The initiative focuses on enhancing the competitiveness of the UAE National cadres, encouraging them to work in the private sector, investing in available job opportunities in it, and establishing and managing their own businesses projects/business that add a qualitative value to the national economy. Given the leading role of the United Arab Emirates Government and its vision that aims to support the country’s citizens across all fields, the esteemed UAE Cabinet issued Resolution No. (30/7) of 2022 on the conditions and controls for granting Entrepreneurship Leave for self-employment to UAE nationals working in the federal government. The initiative relies on an innovative approach to introduce a special category of leaves that is granted under specific conditions. The aim of this new leave category is to enable UAE nationals working in the federal government to establish their own business in the private sector given the important role this sector plays in the economy. This crucial step will play a key role in creating new jobs and drive future development. Accordingly, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources launched the guide for granting Ministries and Federal entities their UAE National employees – who wish – an Entrepreneurship Leave for self-employment, which is the first of its kind in the world, to encourage them to pursue investment and start their own businesses in the private sector. The Authority aims at developing Human Resources in the Federal Government Sector based on Modern concepts and International criteria applied in the field of HR management. Human Resources Club is one of FAHR’s initiatives pouring from its strategic plan, which aims to enhance the productivity of the federal workforce. The Human Resources Club offers a professional work environment to exchange experiences, best practices and networking between HR professionals across federal government, local government and private sector.  HRC aims Exchange views and discuss challenges and solutions to common human resources issues. Create a channel of communication between HR experts and HR managers across the United Arab Emirates. Work as one team to support and strengthen the HR departments in different entities and amend desired changes in HR practices. Review and evaluates the impact of legislations on the performance and affectivity of the HR in the United Arab Emirates and suggest the appropriate solutions. Share best practices locally, regionally and internationally. Facilitating the process of HR related studies and surveys. Support and strengthen the role of human resources and offer creative solutions and successful and unique practices. The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) confirmed that federal government employees have carried out nearly 10 million human resources procedures independently through the smart application FAHR and the federal government’s human resources information management system Bayanati, since the launch of the self-service system in 2012 until the end of the third quarter of this year.
