UAE Participates in the 28th Meeting of the Technical Committee for Civil Service and Human Resources in GCC Countries
The United Arab Emirates, represented by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, participated in the 28th meeting of the Technical Committee for Civil Service and Human Resources in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, organized by the General Secretariat of the GCC in the sisterly State of Kuwait.
The Authority was represented at the meeting by H.E. Ibrahim Fikri, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector, and Mr. Zayed Al Qahtani, Director of Human Resources Development, along with members of the technical committee from the GCC member states.
The participants discussed a number of topics aimed at strengthening Gulf cooperation and unifying efforts in the fields of civil service and human resources development. These included: updating the Council’s strategic initiatives in the field of civil service and human resources development (2026–2030), the “Internal Investment in Experts and Consultants” initiative, and exploring the program for honoring pioneering figures in the civil service sectors in 2025.
The meeting also addressed future plans for digital transformation in civil service and human resources, in a way that serves shared interests and enhances government performance efficiency, while aligning policies and legislation with international best practices.
