Human Resources Club Forum highlights the importance of skills in shaping the future of work
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) held the fourth Human Resources Club Forum this year, under the title “Skills-Based Economy: The Future Roadmap for Rehabilitating the Workforce”, with the attendance and participation of nearly 300 federal government employees, club members, specialists and interested persons from all sectors and in cooperation with SHL company.
The forum, which was held virtually in cooperation with SHL, hosted Dr. David Edwards, Head of Talent Solutions Consulting in the Middle East at the company, and highlighted several themes, such as skills-based recruitment and mobility, research-based skills and thought leadership.
The guest of the forum emphasized the importance of the crucial role of skills in shaping the future of work, as well as the importance of investing in upskilling employees to maintain competitiveness in the evolving labor market.
For his part, Mohamed Farid, General Manager of SHL, Middle East and Africa, said: “Organizations that invest in their employees today are not only preparing for tomorrow, but also securing their place in the economy of the future.” He added: “The future of work revolves around skills, and in a rapidly changing global economy, organizations that prioritize reskilling and upskilling their workforce will be the ones leading the way. As industries evolve, the ability to adapt, learn new skills, and embrace innovation are no longer optional, but rather an urgent necessity.” He expressed his pride in supporting the journey to enhance future skills, in cooperation with FAHR in order to build future-ready, flexible, innovative, and adaptable competencies.
