SAP joins as Knowledge Partner on the “Jahiz” platform
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced the onboarding of global technology leader SAP as a knowledge partner to the “Jahiz for the Future of Government Talents” initiative and its digital platform. Launched in late 2022 as one of FAHR’s flagship transformational initiatives, “Jahiz” stands as the UAE’s most expansive and comprehensive national initiative dedicated to future skills development.
This partnership is formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FAHR and SAP, under which the latter will contribute as a strategic knowledge partner by delivering specialized content designed to enhance capabilities in sustainability and emerging technologies—particularly those aligned with the demands of the future.
Representing FAHR at the signing ceremony was His Excellency Faisal Binbuti AL Mheiri, Director General of the Authority. SAP was represented by Mr. Marwan Zeineddine, SAP UAE Managing Director. The signing was attended by several senior officials from both organizations.
Under the MoU, SAP joins a distinguished group of global knowledge partners supporting Jahiz, enriching its digital platform with high-caliber academic and professional content. This includes curated learning pathways and recorded programs tailored to empower UAE government employees and platform users with future-ready skills.
Among the offerings will be content specifically developed for federal government employees within the sustainability skills track. This will illuminate the vital role of governments in implementing sustainability strategies and demonstrate how accelerated adoption of cutting-edge technologies can serve as a catalyst for achieving strategic sustainability objectives.
Faisal AL Mheiri: A Strategic Enrichment of the Jahiz Platform
Commenting on the development, His Excellency Faisal AL Mheiri, Director General of FAHR, welcomed SAP’s addition to the Jahiz knowledge ecosystem. He lauded SAP as one of the world’s foremost centers of expertise, noting that the collaboration constitutes a qualitative enhancement to the platform. Through its specialized and professionally curated content, SAP is expected to significantly benefit leaders and employees across the UAE Government, ultimately advancing institutional development and the cultivation of national talent equipped with future-centric capabilities. He emphasized that the partnership will provide unique educational programs to platform users, cutting-edge technologies, and sustainable business practices. He stated that this collaboration will provide platform beneficiaries with quality educational programs on sustainability in the business environment, enabling them to design tools that help them meet their organizations’ requirements, enhance product innovation processes, and improve customer experiences – all in alignment with institutional transformation efforts and the broader vision of enhancing the UAE Government’s global competitiveness.
His Excellency reiterated the Authority’s unwavering commitment to expanding its network of knowledge partners within the “Jahiz” platform. This endeavor aims to equip specialists, practitioners, and employees in both federal and local governments with the essential skills for the future. He also highlighted the role of professional video-based educational series hosted on the “Jahiz” platform in fostering awareness and expertise in key future competencies.
SAP: Advancing Sustainability Competencies
For his part, Mr. Marwan Zeineddine, SAP UAE Managing Director, expressed SAP’s pride in partnering with FAHR through the “Jahiz” platform, emphasizing the importance of providing government professionals with continuous learning and development opportunities.
He reaffirmed the company’s firm belief that genuine sustainability necessitates a comprehensive approach that balances economic, social, and environmental dimensions—ensuring the long-term well-being of both current and future generations. Mr. Zeineddine underscored the crucial role of the public sector in this regard, particularly through educating its workforce on sustainable practices and enabling meaningful contributions to global environmental efforts. Such initiatives, he noted, pave the way for a more conscious and responsible society that prioritizes ecological resilience and long-term sustainability.
Jahiz: Second Edition
FAHR recently launched the second edition of the “Jahiz” platform, positioning it as a pivotal government initiative to enhance the readiness of entities and their workforces for the future. The platform delivers interactive digital learning experiences, purposefully designed to meet the evolving needs of government institutions and the aspirations of their employees. Leveraging artificial intelligence, the platform provides personalized educational content that aligns with individual learning journeys. It covers an expansive range of future skills, including artificial intelligence, sustainability, project management, agile execution, as well as specialized competencies in human resources and cybersecurity.
In tandem, FAHR has also introduced the “Jahiz” smart application (Jahiz Future Talents), which facilitates on-demand, mobile access to future skills development. This initiative supports the government’s vision of cultivating a culture of continuous learning and upskilling, while promoting innovation and excellence in public sector performance.
