03 November 2025

In alignment with the vision and priorities of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), which focus on developing the human resources sector and elevating the preparedness of its workforce to strengthen the efficiency of the federal HR system in the UAE, the FAHR announced the launch of the “New Employee Journey Program – GOVReady”. The program aims to enable new federal government employees to understand the mechanisms of the government work system and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively integrate into the workplace from the very beginning of their service.

In this context, His Excellency Faisal bin Binbuti AL Mheiri, Director General of the FAHR, affirmed that the launch of this program comes as part of the Authority’s efforts to enhance the experience of new employees in the federal government and to prepare them for the future. It reflects the Authority’s commitment to providing a sustainable and motivating work environment grounded in knowledge and excellence.

Al Mheiri added: The new program represents a fundamental starting point in the career journey of government employees and embodies the UAE’s vision of investing in human capital as the nation’s most valuable asset and the engine of sustainable governmental advancement”.

He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the leadership teams in the fields of government performance management, strategy, governmental excellence, development, innovation, and other strategic areas within the UAE Government, for their active participation in the “GOVReady” program—an embodiment of leading by example and an inspiration for new employees towards excellence and readiness for a promising future in the federal government.

The program, offered by the FAHR through the Jahiz platform, provides an interactive and integrated experience encompassing a range of topics that introduce participants to the UAE’s vision and strategy, the government performance system, and the journey towards excellence in services and governance. It also includes the development of essential skills needed by employees in the federal government, ensuring team readiness and contributing to the sustainability of skill development.

The “GOVReady” program offers federal government employees 17 diverse sub-programs, distributed across three main pillars: Towards a Future Vision, Core Skills, and Ready for a Promising Future.

The content of these programs has been developed in collaboration with an elite group of local and international knowledge partners, within the framework of strategic partnerships that promote knowledge exchange and the development of government competencies.

The launch of this new program is also aligned with the government’s direction towards building a more flexible, efficient, and innovative work system. As a unified orientation program—the first of its kind at the federal government level— GOVReady represents a comprehensive journey to guide and empower new employees with confidence, in harmony with the UAE’s approach to excellence and leadership in shaping the future of government work. Moreover, all federal government employees can access and benefit from the programs provided by the FAHR through the Jahiz platform across various domains.

It is worth noting that the FAHR offers the “New Employee Journey Program – GOVReady” on the Jahiz platform—one of the Authority’s pioneering initiatives launched in 2022—aimed at enhancing the readiness of federal government talents with future skills through an interactive digital platform.
