Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

UAE participates in the 2022 Global HR Leaders Forum in South Korea

The UAE, represented by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), participated in the 2022 HR Leaders Forum, which was held by the National Institute for Human Resources Development (NHI) in South Korea, under the title "The HR Present and Future in the Transformation Era".

FAHR was represented in the forum, which was held for seven days in the Korean capital, Seoul, by Noura Jassim, Head of Performance Indicators Measurement and Follow-up Department, and Amna Al-Raisi, Senior Data Engineer. The forum was also attended by the representatives of the following 14 countries: Singapore, Japan, the UK, Australia, Spain, Belgium, Romania, Malaysia, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Mexico.

Representatives of the participating countries discussed several strategic issues related to the HR development, at the top of which was the continuous learning strategy. Participants shares their experiences on the tools and approaches adopted to develop employees’ skills, specifically during the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. They further tackled creativity and innovation in the human capital, through data analysis and use of smart technologies, solutions, systems and methods to achieve resilience at work. They also emphasized the importance of providing a positive and healthy work environment.

FAHR delegation presented on the experience of the federal government in the human capital development, the key policies and systems adopted in the HR field, and how they support the institutional agility and create a resilient work environment. They further reviewed the proactive services and the vital smart solutions provided by "Bayanati”, the HR information management system developed by the federal government.

Noura Jassim presented on the key initiatives launched by FAHR and its achievements during 2022, which are informed by the UAE vision and the HR strategy developed by the Federal Government with a view to achieve government resilience and efficiency and enhance the State’s global competitiveness. These achievements include: 1) The crucial role assumed by FAHR to mitigate Covid-19 impacts at the federal government level; 2) the key policies and systems adopted to ensure business continuity and the health and safety of employees and customers and to accelerate the post pandemic recovery; 3) the system applied to measure the HR maturity in the Federal Government; 4) the KPIs measured and monitored to support the UAE competitiveness in the field of HR development, youth empowerment, development and management of knowledge in the Federal Government; 5) mechanisms applied to enhance employees’ skills through several initiatives, such as “Al Mawrid” e-learning portal, the “Elite” initiative for vocational certificates, the Government Skills Bank, the Masar program to attract and qualify high school graduates, and Ma’arif Initiative for the Federal Government's preferred training partners, "Qudarat" Initiative for employee capabilities measurement, and the Human Resources Club.

Amna Al-Raisi highlighted the FAHR role in data management and analysis and the enhanced archiving of information, given their importance in developing smart and proactive real-time reports to support decision-makers in the Federal Government. Al-Raisi also reviewed: 1) the smart transformation journey of “Bayanati” system and the other key systems developed since the onset of the system in 2010 and until 2022; 2) FAHR smart application; 3) the smart reporting system; 4) projects and mechanisms linking the government and local entities, which have a prominent role in the integration of HR data, and the provision of proactive services to the Federal Government employees.

During the Forum, closed sessions were held with the HR officials and leaders in South Korea, along with a number of academics specialized in conducting studies and research on the human capital. These sessions aimed to discuss the current challenges, and the possibility to adopt modern technology, artificial intelligence and metaverse technologies to find effective solutions and develop HR systems, including: electronic performance management, training and development, and career succession.
