Mohammed bin Rashid honors outstanding Federal Government employees according to results of Performance Management System 2012

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, witnessed a ceremony to honor about 650 outstanding federal government employees. The event was held yesterday evening at Al Jawhara Hall, Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the Minister and a host of federal government leaders.

Following the rendition of the national anthem, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, sponsor of the event held for the first time at the level of the federal government, proceeded to the platform, alongside of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Humaid bin Mohammed Obaid Al Qatami, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, and presented certificates of honor to nearly 136 teachers in the Ministry of Education, who have contributed in the educational development process and building national generations in the country. 

At the end of the ceremony, His Highness Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, posed for memorial photos with the honorees numbering 650, out of 33 thousand employees working in 18 ministries and federal bodies applying Performance Management System.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum congratulated them and praised their hard work, outstanding achievements and contribution to enhancing the productivity of the federal government, hinting on the efforts exerted by the distinguished group of teachers who deserved to be honored in recognition of their noble mission, and their vital role in educating the national young generations.

His Highness expressed his happiness to honor this elite group of federal government staff, especially teachers. HH said through his account in the "Twitter": "You are reaping what you have sown. You deserve to be honored in this holy month of Ramadan for your hard work dedication and excellence, in order to serve the homeland."

Sheikh Mohamed said that the efficiency of government performance and excellence is the outcome of tireless efforts of faithful and dedicated employees, who form one of the government’s pillars and its solid foundation, adding that recognition will take place on a yearly basis, because it is a right for high achievers who maintain an improved level of performance, teamwork and innovation and make the difference.

His Highness urged all outstanding male and female employees and others to move forward for the better and achieve more accomplishments, career creativity, and teamwork to translate our faith in joint work and innovative cooperation.

His Highness explained that excellence starts with a dream and aspiration, and grows up with defiance and determination to become a lifestyle, then a passion for being on the forefront to achieve successes and great accomplishments.

Mansour bin Zayed: our leadership accords a special importance to human element

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reasserted the great importance accorded by the UAE leadership to the human element since the era of the late Sheikh Zayed, God rest his soul, as it is considered the cornerstone and the foundation for sustainable development. He said: “Our country, thank God, has made great strides in applying best practices in human resource management and systems, which has enabled us to build a national human capital that is capable of leading the comprehensive development process for the well-being of our people”.

He added that our country is moving forward along the same path, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and their brethren Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.

His Highness the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ministers, the honorees and attendees had their Ramadan iftar at Mina Al Salam Hotel, Dubai.

It should be noted that the Performance Management System for federal government employees is one of the best practices of human resource development that links individual performance to organizational goals, thus aligning human resources strategies adopted in the federal government with the UAE Vision 2021.
