The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), recently signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) with SHL Company to set up and develop the first smart platform for online job interviews, enhanced by artificial intelligence techniques. The new platform allows the assessment and matching of Emirati talents in jobs that most suit them in Arabic, in Arabic and the Emirati dialect.
In this regard, Salwa Abdullah, Director of Government Projects and Programs Department at the Authority, stressed the importance of this cooperation between the Authority and SHL, one of the largest global companies that employ artificial intelligence techniques and tools of the technological revolution in the field of human capital management and development. She pointed out that this project will constitute a breakthrough in job interviews, which has become almost completely dependent on artificial intelligence techniques and programs.
She said: “The project, which will be developed during the coming period, with the participation of more than 1,000 Federal Government employees, is added to the series of innovative initiatives launched by the Authority at the Federal Government level to improve the government work system, develop its tools, and keep abreast of the latest developments in the fields of Technology and Human Resource Management.”
Salwa Abdullah added: “The new platform will contribute to innovate employment procedures in the Federal Government and help attract qualified and talented people who are suitable to fill vacant jobs. It will enhance the entire recruitment process and save time and effort for Human Resources departments in Ministries and Federal entities, by employing technology and artificial intelligence, so that they can focus on more strategic tasks and responsibilities.”
She explained that developing and building this platform in Arabic language will increase transparency in talent assessment processes, which will contribute to effectively meeting staffing needs at the Federal Government level.
Mohamed Farid Zeineldin, Managing Director of SHL Middle East and Africa Regions, stressed the importance of the partnership in supporting the Authority's tireless efforts to adopt the best global practices and digital solutions in the field of Human Resource Management, and to enhance the government’s readiness to apply artificial intelligence, by adopting innovative ideas and projects, enhanced by the latest technologies to help the federal entities to exploit their human resources and talents optimally.
He added, "We will use the expertise of our team, supported by years of scientific research and extensive experience in development studies, to cooperate with the Authority to develop this platform in the Arabic language. It will be the first innovative platform that supports the Emirati dialect, facilitates the evaluation of thousands of national talents, and provides deep insights for the future of future workforce."
