How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

Refine search results?

If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The filters can be found to the top of your results.

FAHR concludes 3 specialized workshops on the sidelines of International Conference on Human Resources

The Federal Government Human Resources (FAHR) held on Sunday in Dubai, three specialized workshops, in collaboration with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), United States, and on the sidelines of the 6th International Conference on Human Resources organized by FAHR, which will start Monday and last for two days, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

HE Ibrahim Fikri, Executive Director of Support Services, FAHR, explained that the workshops targeted dozens of human resource experts and specialists in the UAE public and private sectors, who discussed a range of important issues related to human capital development.

He said:“The first workshop presented by Dr. Robert Garcia, vice president of global operations at SHRM, focused on happiness in the workplace, links between workers' happiness and their productivity, and enhancing the competitiveness of organizations by boosting workplace happiness.

“The second workshop was entitled ‘Driving Innovation Through Creation of a Workplace Based on Active Participation’, presented by Brad Boyson,
 Executive Director, SHRM Middle East North Africa. He highlighted case studies providing fundamental concepts on innovation, promoting effective employee engagement, and how to combine the strategies and tactics of innovation, in addition to examples of strategies adopted by international organizations to establish a culture of innovation and participation across the whole institution.

“The last workshop titled ‘Understanding HR Measurement & Analysis’  by Bill Robinson, Training Manager, SHRM MEA, aimed to familiarize the participants with the use of HR  and workforce analysis to ensure correlation between the results investment in human capital and business performance, and how to analyze the data and determine whether the technical analysis is in line with the nature of business in the enterprise. Participants were also exposed to methods used to determine performance standards.”

HE Ibrahim Fikri added that FAHR will organize two workshops on April 20 following the end of the conference, in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD): the first on "The Role of HR Business Partner”: Where are we now? What are the prospects for the future?, the second titled "Human Resources and Social Media", focusing on how to use social media optimally in the field of human resources.

The 6th International Conference on Human Resources organized by FAHR, kicks off Monday in Dubai World Trade Centre under the title (The Future of Human Resources & their Role in transforming Government Competences), with the participation of more than 500 specialists in the field of human resources and business.

The conference will discuss a number of topics and issues that are closely linked to human capital development and empowerment, e.g.  the culture of happiness and the importance of establishing it in the work environment, the development of government workforce and the future role of human resources, human resources practices based on knowledge economy, education and development, rewards and incentives, strategic workforce planning, human resource metrics, etc

The International Human Resources Conference under the chairmanship of HE Hussein bin Ibrahim Al Hamadi, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources. is one of FAHR’s key strategic initiatives, regarding it as an ideal platform for sharing the best practices and experiences at local, regional and international levels in the field of human capital management and development, in addition to its role in highlighting the most important issues in this vital area, how to deal with challenges, and develop appropriate solutions to overcome them, towards enhancing government efficiency and preparing for the future.

30 speakers and 500 participants

The conference will see the participation of nearly 30 speakers and over 500 experts specialized in human resources, in addition to those interested in the field of human resources, a number of ministers of civil service & administrative development in GCC countries, and senior human resources officials in the government and private sectors in various countries around the world.

It will also witness the participation of a group of leading global human resources organizations with which FAHR has signed memorandums of understanding, including:  Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Australian HR Institute (AHRI), in addition to the keynote speakers from institutions with hand-on experience in the management and development of human capital such as Emirates Airline, DP World, Marriott International, General Electric, PepsiCo, Jumeirah Group and  Delivering Happiness.
