How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The Authority Launches its FAHR Agenda of activities on World Futures Day

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) launched its agenda of activities on the World Futures Day, which is adopted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and marks the second of December of each year, coinciding with the UAE National Day. All countries around the world celebrate this day, in an effort to foresee their development future and their readiness to create opportunities and plans for future generations.

FAHR's activities for the World Futures Day shall continue over a whole year. These various activities and events will include among others: (holding panel sessions that host international speakers to talk about future work environments and future skills, the importance of knowledge for future readiness and the mechanisms of acquiring it, and a campaign to gather ideas and proposals on mechanisms for employing data in innovation and shaping the future of the Human Resources).

Other projects featured in the FAHR's agenda include: (creative youth labs on future projects, developing government work environments, promoting efficiency and productivity, holding a series of training courses for the Federal Government employees on future foresight and innovation, launching two promising government talent projects, and future career paths, which are proposed by the Youth Council for Government Talents, in addition to workshops on prospective studies in strategic planning).

The World Futures Day aims at raising awareness of the importance of developing the future thinking of societies, which contributes to enhancing the readiness of governments for various challenges, innovating new solutions that support the achievement of inclusive development, and promoting international dialogue and cooperation aimed at reinvigorating creativity and innovation. It also aims at enhancing countries' knowledge of the future, drawing attention to the importance of future foresight, enabling them to use scientific tools that contribute to its shaping, and enhancing the public awareness of the importance of the future as a concept that leads to sustainable development.

In this context, Her Excellency Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, Acting Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), stressed that the UNESCO's Adoption of the 2nd of December as the World Futures Day reflects the international recognition of the outstanding efforts made by the United Arab Emirates at more than one level and in various fields, in order to keep pace with the rapid technological developments, foresee the future, and get ready for it.

She explained that the UAE's tremendous efforts and consistent endeavors, and its great interest in the future as a thought and tool, stem from its keenness to secure a better life for the society and successive generations, by creating innovative solutions to the challenges it may face, in order to achieve the inclusive sustainable development in various fields and secure a better future for them.

Her Excellency noted that the UAE has always been centered on the insightful thinking and having future vision since its establishment 51 years ago. Nowadays, the UAE has become a destination and incubator for scientists, innovators, talents and distinguished competencies armed with future skills. It also has become a global model for future foresight and enhancing readiness for its changes.
