3 Badges for Ministry of Health and the Digital Transformation Badge Awarded to the General Authority of Sports

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) honored the federal ministries and entities that won “Jahiz” badges during its second session. Three badges Digital Transformation, Metaverse and Programming were awarded to the Ministry of Health and Prevention. The badge for Digital Transformation was given to the General Authority of Sport. On “Jahiz” Platform, the employees of the two entities had the highest percentage of "Readiness" skills for the future at the federal level.

His Excellency AbdulRahman Bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, received the three badges from Her Excellency Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, Chairwoman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, in the presence of His Excellency Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, Acting Director General of FAHR, and His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, His Excellency Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Regulation Sector and number of the Ministry's senior officials.

H.E Ohood Al Roumi also handed His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Genaral Authority of Sports, the Digital Transformation Badge, in the presence of His Excellency Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, His Excellency Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussein, Secretary General of the General Authority of Sports, and number of the Authority’s senior officials and employees.

In this regard, the Acting Director General of FAHR, H.E Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, explained that FAHR periodically awards the "Jahiz" Badge to the entities that most successfully complete the educational programs and badges made available through the "Jahiz" Platform as a token of appreciation for their support in fostering the future skills of their employees. The second round of the "Jahiz" competition concentrated on Digital Transformation, Metaverses and Programming Badges.

Her Excellency reaffirmed that by utilizing the skills made available by the "Jahiz" Digital Platform, the future "Readiness" competition seeks to honor the efforts of government organizations and their talents who are most prepared for the future. This comes as part of FAHR efforts to translate on the ground the visions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE “May God protect him” and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai “May God protect him”, to ensure that the UAE government will be the readiest government for the future.

Her Excellency stated that the "Jahiz" Platform for the future government talented government employees had achieved outstanding success in a matter of months. It attracted a lot of interest from the government departments and ministries, who jumped at the chance to use the platform to equip the nation's talent with cutting-edge skills at all job levels.

She urged employees of the federal government to take advantage of the platform, which offers them extraordinary skills, considers their needs and keeps up with the demands of the stage. The platform is updated on a regular basis in collaboration with 15 strategic partners, including top multinational businesses and elite UAE government organizations. In return, these partners offer top-notch content that helps employees develop the most crucial future skills.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, expressed his pride at the Ministry's win in the second round of the competition for future "Readiness" in the category of major entities. In line with our government's vision to equip UAE talent with digital technologies and to advance innovation practices based on flexibility and readiness within the work ecosystem, he emphasized that receiving this award is a significant accomplishment that embodies the Ministry's firm commitment to enhancing and developing the digital skills of its employees.

With regard to the framework of the Ministry’s objectives to empower talents, provide efficient and effective institutional services and create digital infrastructure, “the Ministry has a proactive vision for the future and is eager to adopt the newest digital tools in the health sector. The Ministry's effective participation in the "Jahiz" platform allowed it to improve the skills of its staff in crucial areas like programming and the Metaverse. This helps the health care industry achieve excellence and innovation”, said Dr. Al Olama.

"Winning this competition reflects the tireless efforts of the Ministry's staff to upgrade their skills to the highest levels of performance. In order to support the Ministry's plans and projects for establishing a health system that meets international standards, we spare no effort in providing a training environment that improves the knowledge and digital skills of our talents. We also actively encourage them to adopt cutting-edge technologies to further their skill development," His Excellency continued.

“The UAE seeks to enhance its readiness for the future by investing in future government talents and the optimal use of modern technologies, in line with the government’s directives aimed at consolidating the UAE’s regional and global reputation by achieving leadership and excellence to be the readiest government for the future”, added Dr. Al Olama.

On his part, His Excellency Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussain, Secretary General of the General Authority of Sports said, "The UAE seeks to enhance its readiness for the future by investing in future government talents and the best use of modern technologies, in line with the government's directives aimed at consolidating the UAE's regional and global reputation by achieving leadership and excellence to be the readiest government for the future”.

"The General Sports of Authority was keen to be the most entity satisfying the future skills criteria to obtain "Jahiz" badges, by establishing inspiring training plans for staff to enhance the level of performance and achieve job harmony. In addition to the Authority's ongoing efforts to effectively contribute to improving government work, these efforts demonstrate the work team's readiness and awareness as well as consistency with the Authority's strategy in keeping with the goals and visions of our wise leadership”, added His Excellency.

It is noteworthy that the "Jahiz" initiative for the future of government talents is a comprehensive digital platform for future skills, supporting the government's readiness for the future and increasing the participation of its employees in putting our wise leaders' visions into action by creating a model for the world's leading future governments and improving performance, productivity, efficiency, and the UAE's future readiness.

Through its advanced digital platform, "Jahiz" covers 4 main sets of future skills that will be implemented over a year and include 20 sub-skills and more than 90 skills-building programs.

“Jahiz” Platform includes a digital portfolio of future skills for each government employee, which serves as a comprehensive profile and allows for the placement of achievement badges upon fulfilling the requirements for future skills that are distributed to four main skill sets. This profile is linked to the "Bayanati" System of the Federal Government and the Performance System applicable in the UAE Government.
