MBTI Personality Test
The first day of innovation week organized by FAHR featured a workshop presented by HE Laila Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Programs and HR Planning in the Authority titled "Personality Assessment & Analysis". The workshop was based on a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how employees perceive the world, according to Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), with the introduction of some amendments to it to suit the customs and traditions of the UAE society.
Laila Al Suwaidi said: "The personal testing helps us to know the people and know ourselves. It tells us about the way we think and take decisions, how we interact with the world around us, the reasons that make us communicate with some people positively than others, and more importantly, it shows us our strengths so that we can develop, as well as weaknesses to get rid of and develop our character. "
She talked about the four personality traits in each individual. First, the way individual perceive the outside world, i.e. they are either open or reserved. The second is learning preference. Do you pay more attention to information that comes in through your five senses (Sensing), or to the patterns and possibilities that you see in the information you receive (Intuition)? The third preference is decision-making source through thinking or emotion, while the final preference is the way looks at life and deals with it, in other words a person is either tough, or flexible.
