HE Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), lauded the cooperation and efforts of the Authority employees, which led to great accomplishments and important projects, to serve the ministries and federal entities or at the level of the Authority, which has contributed in creating a harmonious, healthy and happy work environment.
He urged the employees to pay more efforts, and maintain the same teamwork spirit, to achieve the Authority’s vision and its strategic objectives.
HE was speaking in at the monthly breakfast gathering, which is organized by FAHR on a monthly basis to its employees in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, in order to acquaint them with the latest developments related to work, discuss matters in an informal setting and honor outstanding teams and individuals.
At the outset, HE welcomed the new employees who joined FAHR team recently, and recognized the winners under the rewards and incentives program for the month of March in various categories. Iman Malik and Mona Jallaf won the title for teir exceptional performance, while Zainab Al-Qallaf, Amal al-Hashimi, and Lamia Taha, emerged winners in ‘Testahal’ category, and Mansour Al Balushi in creative employee category. Recognition was extended to the team that prepared for the ceremony held to mark the Emirates HR Award in the federal government, as well as the team in charge of organizing the 6th International Conference on Human Resources held recently.
During the ceremony, the results of a number of initiatives and regulations were reviewed, such as suggestions system via “My Gov” Gateway, which received 60 proposals during the first quarter of this year, and “Ma Qassart” initiative card exchanged by employees electronically to thank each other.
Fatima Rashid from Employee Performance Appraisal & Follow-Up provided a detailed presentation on the overall performance of the Authority and its position on the federal government level with respect to human resources, during the year 2015. , as per the balanced scorecard standards applied at the federal government. The presentation focused on four topics: operations, education and growth, financial implications and customers.
The gathering also featured a briefing on “A Happier Work Environment” project currently underway, in cooperation between FAHR and Great Place to Work International, in order to measure happiness level in the workplace, identify strengths and weaknesses, and provide solutions and proposals for development.
FAHR employees participated in a free electronic survey, using their mobile phones, to answer a questionnaire on "Imtyazat" initiative, operated by FAHR to offer special discounts to the federal government employees in partnership with private companies.
