The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has launched a community-based Initiative on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, jointly with the Ministries of Infrastructure Development, Economy, and Climate Change & Environment, and in collaboration with the Noor Dubai Foundation and the Permanent Committee of Labour Affairs in Dubai. The initiative was inaugurated by a field visit to a factory in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
FAHR team and employees of participating entities distributed healthy meals and cold drinks to factory workers. Burger company contributed to the visit by providing meals for the workers, and Noor Dubai Foundation conducted vision testing to workers.
Mahmood Al Marzouki. Director of Government Communication confirmed the keenness of FAHR to commemorate the occasion as part of its social responsibility, and to pay tribute to workers for their significant role in the achievements made by the UAE over the past four decades, and their contribution to the nation building and progress.
Marzouki said that caring for workers’ interests reflects FAHR’s sense of responsibility towards all segments of society and its keenness to promote the communal cohesion and human values and provide aid to the needy, an approach that has always been advocated by the UAE’s wise leadership, represented by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
