A number of human resources professionals and officials at the Ministry of Interior were briefed on the programs, projects and initiatives of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), applied at the Federal Government level. The briefing took place during a recent visit by HE Laila Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Programs & HR Planning, Acting Director of Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence at FAHR, to the headquarters of Officers Training Institute at the Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi.
HE Laila Al Suwaidi underscored the importance of enhancing effective cooperation, knowledge transfer and exchange of successful experiences between various federal, local and private institutions, to improve the quality of services provided by these institutions, and advancement of their role at the national level, which would contribute to strengthening the leading position of the UAE, and help in achieving the aspirations of the wise leadership of the embodied in the UAE Vision 2021 and its national agenda.
The delegation members listened to a detailed explanation by Laila Al Suwaidi of the Human Resource Strategy in the Federal Government 2014 - 2016, which aims to boost the role of human resources in achieving the medium and long- term objectives of the Federal Government, support the overall strategy of the UAE Federal Government, provide a systematic, coherent and integrated plan for the management of human capital, in addition to highlighting the best practices and strategic objectives of the Federal Government regarding efficient and effective human resources management.
She highlighted FAHR’s key projects and initiatives at the federal level, such as Performance Management System, Training & Development System for the Federal Government employees, HR Management Information System "BYANATI", "Ma’arif" Initiative for Federal Government’s preferred training partners, “Testahal” Program for Distinguished Employees in the Federal Government, Emirates HR Award, HR Club, and Human Resources Pioneer Center
