The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) recently revealed that the number of employees promoted during the first quarter of 2017 in the ministries and federal entities operating the HR Management Information System (BAYANATI) in the federal Government was 2253.The number included 406 exceptional, 1696 grade, and 133 financial promotions.
The statistics also reveal that 12,288 employees were granted periodic allowances, while 1996 were appointed during the same period.
According to the HR Statistical Bulletin issued periodically by FAHR, more than 31,000 employees have been working for the Federal Government between 1 and 4 years and over 22,000 of them between 5 and 9 years.
63 thousand employees below 40 years of age
The Statistical Bulletin found that nearly 49,000 Federal Government employees are in the age group 30-39, followed by 24,000 in the age group 40-49 and 13,761 are aged between 20-29 years.
38 ministries and federal entities are operating BAYANATI
According to the Bulletin, 38 ministries and federal bodies are currently operating BAYANATI system, with a total staffing of nearly 63,000 employees, 22547 of them hold higher educational qualifications.
Regarding occupational categories in the Federal Government, the Bulletin showed the number of employees in educational and educational support jobs amounted to 14,529, followed by 8014 in medical and medical support, 9233 in administrative and administrative support, 4327 in religious, and 2411 in crafts and auxiliary services category.
