The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) recently held an innovation lab in Dubai to develop the Federal Government employees discount program (Imtyazat), as part of its activities in the Month of Innovation, with the participation of partners from private sector establishments and companies.
Hanan Mohammed bin Naseef, Deputy Director of Government Communications, FAHR, said that the innovation lab, which was a brainstorming session, reflected the Authority's keenness to develop the employee discount program "Imtyazat" in terms of the number and quality of offers provided by the program partners for more than 100 Federal Government employees and their families, to expand the number of beneficiaries, and consider mechanism for the development of its Smart App. ‘Imtiyazat’.
The meeting was an ideal opportunity to listen to the comments made by representatives of Imtyazat program partners from the private sector organizations and companies about the program and their developmental proposals. The main focus of the meeting was on diversifying the offers to include all regions of the UAE, especially the northern emirates. The meeting proposed coordinating with te ministries and federal entities to form an Imtyazat team, to ensure uniformity of offers, expand the program to cover local government staff, and intensify program awareness tours by Imtyazat team to ministries and federal agencies.
“The Authority coordinates under Imtyazat program with the commercial and service businesses to sign partnerships with them to grant special discounts and preferential prices to Federal Government employees and their families”, she said, indicating that Imtyazat program supports the UAE Government's orientations to create a positive work environment for employees, and instil a culture of workplace welfare and happiness in the Federal Government,.
Hanan Bin Nassif pointed out that the number of private sector institutions and companies that offer exclusive discounts to Federal Government employees and their families reached about 300 companies from different sectors and fields. She explained that the Authority receives daily many applications to join the program, but its focus is primarily on diversifying the sectors of these companies, the quality of their services and the added value to Federal Government employees.
