How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

FAHR participates in Gitex and 86,000 benefit from smart services

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced that it will participate in GITEX 2014, to be held in Dubai during 12-16 October.

FAHR also emphasized that it intends to publicize its smart applications during Gitex, along with a range of e-services offered to the Federal Government and employees, customers and partners, and which directly target more than 86,000 employees working in ministries and federal entities.

 

According to a statement by FAHR, the smart application is now ready for release, offering dozens of invaluable services to the Federal Government employees, as well as simplifying procedures for their HR transactions, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, on the shift to smart government. The application allows the provision of a package of vital services, most notably the services provided by the Human Recourse Management Information System «BAYANATI», which enables employees to complete their HR transactions through self-service, and access all their personal data and information online, thus benefiting over 86,000 employees working in the Federal Government.

Klaitham Al Shamsi, Director of Human Resource Management Information System said that one of the key applications that will be launched would  allow the employees at the ministries and federal bodies to submit, track and cancel leave requests. They can also browse leave balances, apply for time-out  permission, access and update personal data, as well as get information about their monthly salary, extract salary certificates, to whom It May Concern letters, review medical centers assigned for employee medical insurance and complete different phases of electronic Employee Performance Management System.

Easy Communication

She explained that the application will facilitate communication between the Federal Government employees, who will be connected with an interactive  network, which will contribute to spreading a culture of hard work, motivation creatively through «Maqassert» (thank you) electronic card exchanged by the staff of the Federal Government through the application, to express  appreciation of each others’ efforts and achievements.

Among the e-services that will be linked to the smart application, the  Government Knowledge Portal «Ma’aref», a strategic project launched by FAHR recently, which enables the employees to access training programs and workshops offered by training providers registered in the portal, and add them to the list of topics of their choice, noting that the system has a function of alerting users automatically of the dates the programs are held, and maps showing the venues of sessions.

 

List of Applications

She added that the list of applications will also include “Imtyazat” service, whereby special discounts are offered to Federal Government employees who can view a list of private sector enterprises registered as members of Imtyazat Initiative, along with stores that offer discounts and identify the locations of these stores by means of interactive maps. The Authority’s application will also allow access to information on Ma’arif initiative for the Federal Government’s preferred training providers. In addition a legal section allows the Federal Government employees to review the human resource laws, rules and regulations in the Federal Government, as well as seek legal advice from FAHR legal consulting team.

Performance Development

Al Shamsi confirmed that a wide range of other services are offered with the aim to improve the performance of employees, enhance their creativity and excellence and raise the levels of productivity and job satisfaction among them, including “Maqassert," (Well Done) initiative, which is an electronic thank you card handed by an employee to another through smart application, as an expression of appreciation for his efforts and efficiency in accomplishing an assignment. The employee who wins the largest number of these cards at the end of each month at the level of the Federal Government is publicly honored every month. All employees will be able to use their own accounts within a highly safe virtual environment that ensures protection for their personal information.
