How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

Refine search results?

If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The filters can be found to the top of your results.

FAHR Launches ‘HR Echo’

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has released the first issue of HR Echo, a specialized biannual Magazine. In this context, HE Hussein Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources expressed his happiness with this important publication by FAHR, which is the fruit of close cooperation with international organizations specializing in the field of human resources, in order to achieve the vision of the UAE’s leadership aspiring to proactively contribute in all areas relating to the development of human capital.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources emphasized that the HR Echo, published online and in hard copy form and in both Arabic and English, is  a specialized biannual Magazine, which has been prepared in partnership with leading international organizations in the field of human resource development and empowerment such as Chartered Institute of Personnel &  Development (CIPD), University of Boston Consulting Group (BCG), University of Monash, and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

HE said: “By releasing this prestigious publication, FAHR seeks to keep up with new trends in the field of human resources and to realize the visions of the UAE’s wise leadership in excellence and global competitiveness. We aspire to achieve innovation at all levels, and HR Echo Magazine is one of our key initiatives which is instrumental in building a scientific culture based on global best practices and experiences.

“The new Magazine covers all issues relating to the most important of all resources - the human resource, and is considered an important addition to the human resources library in the UAE, and a reference for researchers and those interested in this area. It will greatly help FAHR to reach a wider customer segments, partners and the public, not in the UAE, but also regionally, to reflect best practices and experiences that could be used to enhance the performance of our institutions and improve the working environment, thus increasing efficiency and productivity”

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar added that the HR Magazine showcases new insights, ideas and practices of interest to decision- makers, and serves institutional transformation, by highlighting HR systems, regulations and programs adopted by international organizations to achieve their strategic goals, in an attractive and dynamic work environment. “HR Echo reflects the latest global trends in human resource research and makes it available specialists and those interested in the field”, he concluded 

HE thanked all partners of FAHR for their contribution in this pioneering project: leading universities and international institutions in the field of human resources. He also thanked the HR Echo Magazine working team at FAHR the body, announcing that the Magazine is now ready to accept original research papers, and to receive views and proposals to upgrade its standard and maintain the quality of content. 

Aisha Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Human Resources Policies at FAHR said: “This specialized publication is one of very few experiences in the Arab World, and this is why we decided to initiate the project”

“The electronic and hard copy of the magazine is distributed free of charge to reach more than 50 thousand readers from within the country and abroad, using the huge database in the HR Management Information System  ‘BAYANATI’, as well as Twitter, and mailing lists of FAHR’s partners and friends, and members and employees of HR Club”. She noted that the magazine is available on the website of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (www.fahr.gov.ae) in both Arabic and English.

She commended the role played by partner institutions in producing the magazine and their effective cooperation, given their vast experience in the field. For example, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which was founded in 1948, is the largest global organization in terms of the number of members who specialize in the field of human resources, totaling over 275 thousand members from more than 160 countries around the world. SHRMn provides, through its offices in USA, UAE, India and China HR professionals with information and develops their skills in HR management, and is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management in North America and Secretary of the World Federation of People Management. 

As for the London-based Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), it has more than 135 thousand members from around the world, and specializes in various HR areas including: learning and development, personnel management and consulting across global public and private organizations.

Monash University is a renowned institution specialized in the field of higher education and research in Australia. It ranks among the top 100 universities in the world for the years 2012 and 2013, and has branches in four continents and more than 115 partner institutions in 26 countries.

The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), is a global management consulting firm founded in 1963 and has offices in 42 countries and is headquartered in Boston, USA. The BCG is known for creating many innovative methods in management analysis such as: growth and participation matrix, experience curve effects, etc
