The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), launched at the end of September, 2014, the second round of the Outstanding Employee of the Month Program in the Federal Government "Testahal", and called on the federal employees who meet the conditions to participate in the program, by completing the forms designed for this purpose.
FAHR set, in a special circular, November 13, 2014 as a deadline for the delivery of applications to human resources departments at their respective entities, using the form available on FAHR website.
It should be noted that participation in "Testahal" Program is open for all staff below department director, appointed in ministries and federal authorities which are subject to Human Resource Law and its executive regulations, irrespective of their departments and job titles, provided the employee successfully passes the probation period.
FAHR explained that "Testahal" Program is among many initiatives that reflect the keenness of the UAE’s Leadership to increase productivity through motivation, rewarding talent in the government, and encouraging Federal Government employees to pursue excellence, creativity and hard work.
It called on the staff to carefully look into the Program requirements and standards via FAHR website: (www.fahr.gov.ae), as it contains all information needed about the Program, with relevant illustrative examples and guidelines.
The statement added: “12 winners will be selected in the second round of the Program, at the rate of three winners from each of the following four categories: administrative & administrative assistance, educational & educational assistance, medical & medical assistance, and finally professional category.
“For a deeper understanding of how to apply for any of these categories, of the Program, and to access participation conditions, candidates can communicate with the Program Team at FAHR via e-mail: testahal@fahr.gov.ae, or with human resources departments in the federal entities, for more information about all the requirements”.
The winners within the categories of the Program, are considered role models and a good example for the rest of their colleagues at work. They will be recognized through rewarding cash prizes, moral and in-kind rewards, (e.g. Testahal Shield, certificate of thanks and appreciation, certificate of participation and thanks to all non-winners, publishing winners’ names in the media, sharing "success stories" of winners with the Federal Government, employees, and any other means of recognition to be introduced in the future.
