How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

FAHR holds the Annual Meeting of its Leaders

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) confirmed that 2014 witnessed paradigm shifts and outstanding achievements UAE-wide in general and at the level of the Federal Government in particular, thanks to the directives and follow-up of the UAE’s wise leadership led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

He explained that FAHR has been proactively keeping up with these positive changes and an important player through its key role in the achievements made by the Federal Government during the last period, citing FAHR’s ongoing quest to launch strategic initiatives and projects on the Federal Government level, in order to achieve the leadership’s aspirations embodied in  the UAE  Vision 2021 and its National Agenda.

This came during the second annual meeting of FAHR leaders, which was recently organized at its headquarters in Dubai, in the presence of HE Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of FAHR, executive directors, department directors and head of sections.


At the outset, HE welcomed the leaders, praising their crucial role in the great achievements made by FAHR during the last period, and the tremendous efforts they have been exerting to implement the human resource plan in the Federal Government and the directives of the wise leadership.

The Director General explained that the meeting aimed to identify the key projects and achievements of FAHR during 2014, and the review of the most important challenges faced by departments and work teams in the past period. “This meeting has been convened to share the best solutions, ideas and practices aimed at strengthening the position and role of FAHR on the Federal Government level, as well as review its strategic plan for the years 2014 – 2016”, he said. He stressed on the importance of communicating the outcome of the meeting to FAHR strategic partners, during a meeting to be held in December, 2014.

He said that FAHR is seeking to translate the objectives of the UAE Government into reality, especially with regard to providing services to the citizens and residents and to reach them out at any time and everywhere, pointing out that achieving this requires of all FAHR departments and staff hard work and dedication, and establishing a culture of creativity, innovation and competitiveness, which would contribute to realizing the strategic objectives of FAHR, and activating the human resources strategy in the Federal Government.

Ms. Laila Al Suwaidi, Director of Performance Appraisal & Follow-Up, and Acting Director of Strategic Planning & Organizational Excellence reviewed FAHR Strategy 2014 - 2016, including the vision, mission values and objectives, as well as achievements since its inception in 2010 until 2014. These include: The Human Resources Law in the Federal Government and its implementing regulations, the Human Resource Executive Regulations for the independent federal authorities, in addition to the launch of several systems and strategic initiatives at the Federal Government level such as Performance Management and Training & Development Systems, the Human Resources Management Information System "BAYANATI", "Ma’aref" initiative for the Federal Government’s training partners, Job Evaluation and Classification System, and the electronic system for strategic planning of workforce.

Al Suwaidi provided a brief description of the strategic plan of the Authority for 2015, noting that it includes five strategic goals, and 35 strategic and joint initiatives.

Detailed reviews were presented by departmental directors at FAHR about the most outstanding achievements during the past years, as well as key features of the operational plans 2014-2016, and this was followed by a panel discussion and brainstorming to identify the trends and challenges that may be faced with the application of future plans.
