The Government Communication Department in the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), has recently launched a creative initiative entitled "Sessions", under which FAHR sectors, departments and working teams are set to organize random brainstorming sessions outside the workplace - collectively or individually - in a non-traditional atmosphere.
Mahmoud Al Marzouki, Director of Government Communication Department, said: “This is an old practice, but what makes the difference is the new-look of the initiative, which is intended to raise job satisfaction levels among employees, as well as enhance productivity in a working environment full of positive energy, and therefore help FAHR to achieve its vision and strategic objectives.
“We held the first of the initiative sessions in January 2015, where working teams from three departments participated to discuss a joint project: government communication, strategic planning and organizational excellence, performance and follow-up. Discussions took place in the form a working breakfast at Marriott Hotel Al Jadaf, Dubai, followed by an external session.
The meeting addressed a number of important issues related to the work of the Government Communication Department, and the need for ensuring excellence, as well as enhancing corporate identity, operational and strategic plans, in line with the standards of excellence awards at the State level.
