HE Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) noted that the las period had witnessed a significant number of accomplishments, initiatives and projects launched by FAHR at the federal government level, such as Distinguished Employee Program in the federal government "Testahal", the 2nd “Ma’arif” Training Partners Exhibition, organized by the federal government’s preferred training providers, Government Training Week, etc.
He added that these initiatives and many others have been designed primarily to consolidate the principles of leadership, excellence and global competitiveness in the federal government, which would contribute to realization of our wise leadership’s aspirations and directions embodied in the UAE Vision 2021, its seven-year National Strategy, and the HR Strategy in the federal government
The assurances of HE were made during the Monthly Breakfast Banquet organized by FAHR recently at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, a tradition followed by FAHR and a perfect opportunity that brings together employees and leadership, to review the latest developments, achievements, projects and future plans.
“Testahal” Employees Honored
The Director General of FAHR recognized some employees who won the Disguised Employee of the Month of March title, under “Testahal” Program whereby outstanding employees are honored for their excellent performance. The recognized employees included, Mansour Al Balushi (All-Round Employee); Munir Abid, and Alia Shawa (Professional). HE wished them continued success, innovation and excellence for the future.
HE also honored Amna Al Suwaidi, Director of Human Resources Planning in the Authority for receiving the largest number of electronic ‘Ma Qassert” (thank you) cards during the month of March; and Moaza Al Serkal and Lamia Taha who won the quality and excellence competition launched by FAHR last February
The ceremony saw the recognition and bidding farewell to departing employee Mohammed Abu Hija, Senior Consultant, Oracle HR systems, at the Department of HR Management Information System in the Authority, for his outstanding efforts over the last 12 years in the service of the federal government.
“Government Bawabati” Project
Laila Al Suwaidi, Director of Performance Evaluation & Follow-Up, and Acting Director of Strategic Planning & Corporate Excellence, gave a presentation on “Government Bawabati” Project, a portal which will act as the central system for suggestions and observations in the federal government.
She explained that the project aims to activate channels of communication with all categories of customers, identify their needs and expectations, and focus on developing the federal government services through the application of international best practices and government efficiency. The new portal, she added, is intended to build a culture of service excellence among customers, encourage innovation and excellence, and promote the spirit of partnership and positive cooperation in finding solutions to the challenges faced by the customers.
Laila Al Suwaidi explained that the protal incorporates three integrated administrative systems, namely, suggestions, thanks and appreciation, and feedback systems, pointing out that the central system is comprehensive, responsive to the needs of customers, and fully automated. In addition, it enables submission of detailed reports to the Government on all the services provided, for the Prime Minister’s Office to analyze and develop operations and services.
Amna Al Suwaidi, Director of Human Resources Planning at FAHR gave a visual presentation, shedding light on some of the administrative aspects of work, which are indispensible for the management of any organization. These included: employee motivation and recognition, involvement in decision-making, provision of stimulating environment to unlock employee potential, thus creating a positive impact on productivity and job satisfaction levels.
For her part, Luluah Al Marzouki, head of Employee Development & Performance, briefed the attendees on the latest developments regarding Maqassert Initiative, launched by FAHR in 2013, as an electronic card of thanks and appreciation exchanged by FAHR staff to enhance principles of thanks and appreciation among themselves. She said that about 216 cards had been circulated among employees during last March, bringing the total number exchanged by staff since the launch of the initiative until the end of March to 1635 cards.
