Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

FAHR participates in GITEX, launches upgraded version of its Smart App

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) is set to participate in GITEX Technology Week 2017, which will be held in Dubai from 8 to 12 October, to launch the upgraded version of its Smart Application ‘FAHR’, following the success of the first phase. The event will also provide a platform to showcase the Authority’s main e-services offered through the application, especially those connected to HR Management Information System (BAYANATI) applied in the Federal Government, as well as human resources systems, policies and legislation concerning the Federal Government employees.

The Authority revealed that it will launch a new package of smart services through the smart application, which serves the clients and employees of 57 ministries and federal entities. The upgraded application will assist employees in completing human resources transactions using self-service function, to take advantage of 27 services provided via the app., to take the federal human resource services to new heights. 

Shaimaa Al Awadhi, Director of Human Resources Information Systems at the Authority, said: "The most prominent human resources services provided through the smart application ‘FAHR’, include without limitation, all e-services provided via BAYANATI System, the Federal Government’s preferred training partners initiative "Maaref", the Federal Government employees' discount program "Imtyazat", the Legal Advice Program, and the Federal Government Employees’ Network.

She explained that 12 of the 27 public services provided by Smart Application ‘FAHR’ benefit all internal and external customers of entities, as well as Federal Government employees. The other 15 services are linked to BAYANATI System, to serve the Federal Government employees and officials in 57 ministries and federal bodies.

The most important services of the first category include legal advice program, whereby users can inquire about the federal HR laws and legislation, file objections to federal appeals committees, benefit from the federal government employee discount (Imtyazat) and federal government employees network. They can also access the Authority’s news and agenda of future events, and learn more about its strategic initiatives.

Services provided via BAYANATI include: Completing all stages of electronic performance management system (PMS) for Federal Government employees, registering for training courses through e-training and development system, inquiring about a specific vacancy in the Federal Government using e-Employment System, applying for a job, providing employee dashboard, and provide line manager’s dashboard, which enables him to follow his employees’ performance and electronically approve applications submitted by employees.

Al Awadhi said: “The application also facilitates direct communication with the Authority's leadership, nomination of federal government employees for awards under rewards & incentives system, and access to employee leave balance. In addition, the application provides other valuable services for employees, who can apply for, cancel or track leaves; request permissions to leave the workplace; browse and update personal data; check on monthly salary details, produce salary and to Whom It May Concern certificates, and review centers assigned to provide medical insurance”.               

She explained that the Authority’s participation in GITEX Technology Week 2017 comes as part of its ongoing efforts to promote its smart services and explore new ideas in the world of digital technology, in the field of smart government services and applications.

“The agenda includes displaying high quality services, based on clear strategic vision, in order to showcase the smart government as a leading global experience that confirms the outstanding position of the UAE in terms of competitiveness, innovation and leadership in all fields. He concluded by stressing the importance of this vital project as it provides essential services to the Federal Government employees anywhere and at any time via tablet devices”, she noted.

She pointed out that the Smart Application ‘FAHR’ received huge turnout by Federal Government employees, has been uploaded more than 36 thousand times since its launch in October 2014 until August, with about 70 thousand human resources transactions and procedures carried out during the current year alone. Moreover, employees of the ministries and federal bodies have submitted more than 13 thousand applications for leaves and exit permits using Smart Application ‘FAHR’.
