The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) recently launched the humanitarian campaign "Warmer Winter", aim at helping support services workers in the Authority's Abu Dhabi and Dubai headquarters, with clothing, winter supplies, and personal hygiene products.
Volunteering Authority officials and employees distributed bags of clothes, blankets and winter necessities to the workers to protect them from the cold winter.
In this regard, Hanan Mohammed bin Nesaif, Deputy Director of Government Communications at the Authority, stated that the campaign reflected the Authority’s high sense of social responsibility, and its keenness to launch charitable initiatives and campaigns, stressing the importance of “Warmer Winter” initiative as it targets workers, who are an important segment of society:.
She pointed out that this initiative comes as part of a series of humanitarian and initiatives launched by the Authority during the past years.
“During the Year of Tolerance, for example, the Authority implemented 20 charitable and humanitarian initiatives and campaigns in cooperation with a number of charitable organizations operating in the country, she said,” stressing that these campaigns succeeded in raising more than AED 616,000, to benefit 565 needy people.
She added that the Authority implemented in the year before the Year of Zayed, 30 humanitarian and voluntary initiatives involving Federal Government employees and all segments of society, through which it was able to collect approximately AED 800,000. The most important of those initiatives were: Umrah Zayed for workers, building a mosque, ‘Sanadhom Amanah’, Contribute to their Education, Warmer Winter, Eid Clothing, and ‘Iftar Sayem; tents.
