How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

Refine search results?

If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The filters can be found to the top of your results.

The Human Resources Club reviews new trends in employee performance management

Thursday June 09, 2022

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), recently held the HR Club’s fifth virtual session 2022, under the title "New Trends in Performance Management", an event which was followed by hundreds of Club members from inside and outside the country.

The live-streamed session hosted Quentin O'Grady, CEO, Expert and Consultant at WorldatWork, and Julie Sloan, CEO of Workforce Planning Global.

O'Grady reviewed the new trends most adopted by global organizations in the field of employee performance management, noting that most institutions are now more interested in training employees on modern technology and artificial intelligence techniques, in order to make them more capable of keeping pace with the rapid changes in global labor market.

He called on organizations to pay great attention to developing the capabilities of their employees and honing their skills in many areas, while meeting their aspirations and job requirements.

“Any institution must identify, before hiring any employee, the skills and competencies the vacant jobs needs, and conduct certain tests for candidates applying to occupy these positions to ensure their suitability to fill them,” he noted.

Quentin O'Grady also urged institutions to set public policies that include clear expectations about the performance required of employees; e.g. setting a framework that includes the key job competencies expected of employees, each according to their specialization, in a manner that serves the institution, and enhances its productivity.

He added: “Companies are required to adopt flexible systems in managing employee performance, and practical mechanisms for rewards and incentives, which would contribute to preparing a work environment conducive to creativity and innovation, while avoiding overloading the employees with much work and responsibilities at the same time”.

He recommended providing continuous feedback to employees about their level of performance, rather than just evaluating their performance two or three times annually, pointing to the importance of strategic workforce planning in enhancing the organization’s capabilities to face future challenges, by preparing a second line leaders that must be trained and qualified at the highest level.
