How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

FAHR issues its Annual Report 2018

HE Dr. Abdulrahman Abdul Manan Al Awar, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), said that the UAE experience has been a unique model for investment in human element, besides giving utmost care for urban development, architecture, tourism, as well as diversification of its resources and building a robust economy. “This is clearly evidenced in the UAE’s leading global ranking at all levels, and the fact thar it has become a haven for creativity and innovation which attracts talents from the region and the world”, he said.

In his speech at the inauguration of the annual report of the Authority’'s achievements in 2018, he explained that the issue of investing in and development of human capital in the UAE has been a cumulative process that has been there for decades., as it requires effort, time and insight. It is a process that is based on firm conviction that man is the best resource and the most important asset for any nation.

 

He said: “All institutions within a country work together to integrate and harmonize the launch and implementation of creative initiatives whose primary goal is to nurture and develop talent, as well as stimulate innovation and creativity, so as to shape the future and achieve UAE Vision 2021 and its national agenda.

“The year 2018 was filled with huge challenges and great achievements that make us closer than ever to the dream – dream of UAE Vision 2021- through which the UAE aspires to become one the world’s best countries at all levels, especially in human capital development”.

 

He added that the UAE Vision 2021 and the wise leadership’s directives constitute the Authority’s map road towards achieving its goal, which is the implementation of Human Resources Strategy in the Federal Government 2017-2021, as well as launching more innovative solutions, regulations  and initiatives that will constitute a qualitative addition to the Federal Government, and promote development of human capital, the most valuable   resource.

 

He said that the Authority achieved great achievements during the year 2018 within the scope of its competence, thanks to Almighty Allah, and the directives of our leadership, which gives utmost support to human resources, and believes in the importance of investing in people as a top priority.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Awar spoke about the Authority's most important achievements during the past year, including the lunch of the new executive regulations of HR Law in the Federal Government, in order to keep pace with the dynamic development and rapid changes witnessed by the country in various fields, and the need to update human resource policies, legislation and systems, which will enable employees and increase their productivity,  job satisfaction and happiness, as well as create an attractive work environment conducive to attracting and retaining talent.

HE the Director General noted that the Authority worked hard to modernize and develop the HR Management Information System in the Federal Government "BAYANATI" by automating many human resources systems and converting them to smart, so as to provide the best services for Federal Government employees, and help them to complete all human resources procedures on their own. He also referred to conclusion of the fourth edition of the UAE HR Award in the Federal Government, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

HE added: “The year 2018 saw great efforts and cooperation between the Authority and  the human resources departments at the local governments to implement the six human resources initiatives adopted during the first session of the UAE Government's Annual Meetings, aimed at harmonizing and integrating human resources policies and systems, assessing HR maturity, studying critical skills for future jobs, establishing a unified government HR database, creating HR smart screens, and expanding the HR Club activities to  cover the emirates of UAE.”.

It should be noted that the Authority had started in late 2018 a series of consultations with its partner ministries and federal agencies to modernize the electronic Employee Performance Management System for Federal Government employees, and also introduced smart dashboards that show HR indicators and results in many systems.

Annual Report 2018

The bilingual (English and Arabic) Annual Report of FAHR sheds light on the most prominent achievements, initiatives and projects launched during the last year in a very attractive format, in both soft and hard copies. It can be accessed on the Authority’s website: www.fahr.gov.ae .

The 190-page long report starts with a forward followed by a detailed description of the Authority’s strategic initiatives and projects launched during the past year, as well as a large number of activities, achievements and internal initiatives implemented during 2018. The document also includes an executive summary of progress achieved in all activities and initiatives in English language.

The aim of publication of this document and making it available to the public is establish the principle of participation and transparency, as it constitutes a source of reliable information concerning the Authority’s role and accomplishments, and reference to all those interested in human resource issues, who can access the document through the official website of the Authority.
