The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) organized, during the first quarter of this year, eight awareness sessions and workshops for the ministries and independent federal authorities, about HR laws and regulations in the federal government.
Mr. Dalmook Al Muhairi, Director of Policies and Legal Affairs at the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources confirmed that FAHR’s legal consulting team met eight ministries and federal independent bodies to discuss practical aspects of the HR Law in the federal government, its implementing regulations, and the HR List applied in federal independent authorities.
He explained that the meetings targeted dozens of Legal Affairs and Human Resource departments in the following ministries and federal independent bodies: Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Environment and Water, Ministry of Energy, General Secretariat of the Federal National Council, Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, General Authority for Youth Welfare and Sports, and the General Authority for Civil Aviation.
Al Muhairi said that these meetings come as part of a previous campaign launched by the FAHR two years ago in order to familiarize the federal government institutions which are subject to the HR Law in the federal government, its implementing regulations, and the HR List applied in federal independent authorities, with the provisions and rules contained in the law and regulations, as well as associated policies and systems. The meetings also aim to highlight efforts being exerted towards achieving the human resources strategy in the federal government, and ensure proper application of HR regulations and legislation in those entities.
FAHR has been conducting several workshops and field visits to the ministries and federal entities across different regions of the UAE as part of its strategy in supporting these federal entities and effectively communicate with them, with a view to promote further application of HR policies, legislation and systems.
