The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), represented by its Director General, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Knowledge Park of TECOM Group, represented by Mohamed Abdalla, Managing Director.
Commenting during the signing ceremony, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Awar stressed the importance of the MoU, as an ideal opportunity to exchange best experiences and practices between the two sides, especially in the field of training and development of human resources. He indicated that Dubai Knowledge Park will greatly benefit from the services provided by FAHR to the Federal Government’s preferred training providers under ‘Ma’arif Initiative.
Free training halls for Federal Government employees
HE said that according to the MoU Dubai Knowledge Park will provide free training rooms within its premises to hold workshops and training courses under Ma’arif Initiative for employees of ministries and federal entities.
“Dubai Knowledge Park will provide ministries and federal bodies with special discounts on course prices from the training institutions operating within, as well as reduced prices for Federal Government employees wishing to study at universities located in Dubai International Academic City”, he said.
Dr Al Awar added that Dubai Knowledge Park will sponsor the HR Club forums organized by the Authority on a regular basis, as well as a number of events related to Ma'arif initiative, indicating that the two parties will exchange best practices in the field of human capital management.
