Employees at the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) have successfully perfumed nearly 38,000 HR transactions in their ministries and federal bodies using self-service system provided through the HR Management Information System (BAYANATI) applied in the federal government institutions, during the first quarter of 2015. Reports by FAHR indicated that the Ministry of Labour registered the largest number of transactions carried out at 8,500, using the system which has been enabled so far in 14 ministries and 16 independent federal authorities.
In this context Klaitham Al Shamsi, Director of HR Management Information System at FAHR the self-service said that the self-service is one of the most important functions of BAYANATI’s four phases, as it enables the federal government employees to complete and follow-up their HR transactions on their own, which would contribute to facilitate HR services in the ministries and federal bodies, allowing the HR departments the opportunity to focus their attention on more important responsibilities such as employment, training and innovative aspects.
Al Shamsi said the majority of transactions completed by the staff of ministries and federal authorities focused on different types of leave (study, annual, sick, maternity, etc); personal data (e.g. changes on social status or qualifications, to Whom It May Concern certificates (relating to salary details, etc), in addition to Employee Performance Management and Training & Development systems launched in 2014.
4.5 million visitors to Smart App (FAHR) since inception
Klaitham Al Shamsi said: “The Smart App (FAHR) received significant interaction and large turnout from the federal government employees during the past period, with nearly 4.5 million visitors since its inception in mid-October, until the first quarter of 2014, and about 260 federal government employees and Authority customers using it.
“Nearly 91,000 federal government employees benefit from BAYANATI smart app., allowing them to apply for, cancel or track leaves; request permissions to leave the workplace; browse and update personal data; check on monthly salary details, produce salary and to Whom It May Concern certificates, in addition to the opportunity of reviewing centers assigned to provide medical insurance, and completing different cycles of the Employee Performance Management and Training & Development systems”.
1500 "Maqassert" e-Cards through Smart App in Q1 2015
She explained that employees in the ministries and federal entities exchanged more than 1,500 "Maqassert" e-Cards with each other via Smart App (FAHR) during the first quarter of this year, including 250 circulated among employees of Federal Authority for Government Human Resources. It should be noted that “Maqassert” (thank you) electronic card exchanged is by the staff of the Federal Government, as an expression of appreciation to each others’ efforts and achievements.
3,000 electronic support requests via Online Helpdesk within 3 months
The Director of HR Management Information System revealed that the Online Services Helpdesk, launched by FAHR early last year, received more than 3,000 electronic support requests from the federal ministries and entities during the first quarter 2015, explaining that the Online Helpdesk aims to provide assistance with trouble-shooting and solving electronic problems those entities might face while using the Human Resource Management Information System (BAYANATI), "Itimad" service for electronic approvals, and Smart Reports Explorer.
Unified Call Center receives 4,200 calls during three months
Klaitham Al Shamsi also revealed that the Unified Call Center which was launched by FAHR during 2014, received nearly 4,200 calls in the past period. She considered the new center an ideal platform to enhance communication with its customers and partners at the ministries and federal entities, government, semi-government and private institutions, as well as individuals, through responding to telephone inquiries relating to the Authority’s functions, as well as key initiatives and projects, and human resources systems being launched successively at the level of the federal government.

She shed light on key projects to be implemented through BAYANATI in the Federal Government for 2015, which include many systems such as e-employment, attendance in the federal bodies that will be linked to BAYANATI system, the launch of the second phase of smart application (FAHR) which will see the addition of new services to people with special needs, the launch of the new BAYANATI site, in order to enable customers to access services provided by the system smoothly and easily.
