270 companies offer exclusive discounts to Federal Government employees under "Imtyazat" Program

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) revealed that the Federal Government employee discounts program "Imtyazat" has been very successful so far as it receives high turnout by the employees of ministries and federal bodies, as well as private sector institutions wishing to join the program since the launch of its new version last May. FAHR confirmed that the number of private companies offering exclusive discounts to Federal Government employees has risen to reach 270 companies operating in various fields and economic sectors.

Hanan bin Nassif, Deputy Director of Government Communications elaborated on the subject saying: “270 private sector companies representing various sectors are now offering substantial discounts to more than 100,000 employees in 57 ministries and federal bodies. The Authority is keen to select companies that add value to the initiative, taking into account diversification of their functions and expertise  to meet expectations of all employees.”

She added that the smart application of Imtyazat Program had been downloaded 13,000 times since its launch in May until the beginning of October 2017, while the number of application users among the Federal Government employees was about 11,500 employees.

Orientation workshops at the ministries and federal entities

Hanan bin Nassif said that during the months of September and October, the Authority held a series of introductory workshops on Imtyazat Program at a number of ministries and federal bodies including Finance, Justice, Energy, Culture and Knowledge Development, National Archives, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, and Securities and Commodities Authority.

“During the workshops, Imtyazat team highlighted the objectives and   features of the program, how to download and activate the smart application, and how to benefit from the exclusive offers available within the program”, she noted, adding that a field visits plan was in place to various ministries and federal bodies benefiting from Imtyazat Program until the end of the first quarter of 2018.

She went on saying: "Smart App. ‘Imtyazat’ is easy to use and is highly interactive. It includes all the exclusive offers presented by Imtyazat partners to Federal Government employees, along with interactive maps showing locations of of these offers.  It also allows companies listed under the initiative to update their offers and add new ones, and enables Federal Government employees to evaluate available offers and provide feedback for the Program improvement and development”.

Hanan bin Nassif called on private sector institutions wishing to join the Imtyazat Program to register through the website: www.fahr.gov.ae.

She emphasized that Imtyazat Program is the largest program of its kind in the country, whereby the Authority coordinates with the local business community to build partnerships with commercial and service companies to secure special discounts for Federal Government employees and their families, in the form of reduced prices on goods and services.

She said the initiative aims to help raise job satisfaction levels, increase workplace harmony, and boost productivity. In addition, she indicated that the Authority had recently launched an electronic questionnaire to measure the Federal Government employees’ satisfaction about the Imtyazat Program and to listen to their views and proposals to improve the initiative.

It should be noted that the Authority launched in September 2017, a monthly electronic bulletin on Imtiyazat’ program, in Arabic and English, including updates on the program’s developments, as well as the most beneficial offers exclusively presented to Federal Government employees, companies joining the program, and mechanisms of communication with the program team in the Authority.
