How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

Refine search results?

If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The filters can be found to the top of your results.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon at HR Club: National Service promotes sense of patriotism, loyalty and belonging

HH St Major General (Pilot) Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, National & Reserve Service Authority Chairman, confirmed that national and reserve service is performed under the slogan “Duty, Pride and Honor”, to foster good citizenship and the values of loyalty and belonging, as well as contributing to building the capacities of our youth. He added that this is why the national and reserve service Law in the UAE has become a successful experience among the sons and daughters of this nation.

He said, “We are all, military or civilian, soldiers dedicated to serve our homeland, being the watchful eyes to safeguard security and stability. The Federal Law No (6) of 2014 on national & reserve service is an important step on the road to the development of the human element, and reflects strategic thinking and insightful vision of the UAE’s wise leadership, and also confirms the commitment of the State to empowering the youth”.

The assurances of Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, came during his speech at Human Resource Club Forum, one of the initiatives of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, which was held recently in Dubai, under the patronage of HE Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, and the presence of HE Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of FAHR. The Forum was held under the title “Military Service: a National Duty & Professional Responsibility”.

Along with Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, the Forum hosted Brigadier-Gneral Mohammed Suhail Al Niyadi Director of Strategic Planning at the National and Reserve Service Authority, and Brigadier- General Salim Juma Al Kaabi, Director of Military Justice in the Armed Forces, and was attended by nearly 200 human resource specialist and practitioners  from all UAE economic sectors (federal, local and private).

The Chairman of the national and reserve service considered the National Service Law a new achievement and a qualitative addition to a series of successes accomplished by the wise leadership, led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State "may God protect him," in order to build a prosperous future for the sons of this nation, pointing out that the Law was issued after extensive studies, and following global best practices, in this area, in order to come up with a model that suits the needs of the country and its social customs and values.

He explained that the reaction following the issuance of the Law was a source of pride to the UAE and exceeded all expectations, noting that this was not unexpected of citizens who trust their leadership for its paramount concern about the nation’s interests and advancement.

He said, “The national and reserve service important milestone in the lives of young Emirati males and females, as it prepares them for real life, and help them understand the challenges they may face and the ways to encounter them based on a sense of full responsibility and keenness.  The national service performed by a student or employee, for 9 months for secondary graduates, and two years for those below high school level, has a strategic objective which contributes to the achievement of the UAE Vision 2021.
