How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

Refine search results?

If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The filters can be found to the top of your results.

FAHR launches "Reading Club" initiative

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has recently launched the "Reading Club" initiative, as part of knowledge initiatives launched by the UAE Government, and in line with the Authority’s commitment to encourage reading and promote passion for knowledge among employees, by organizing a series of cultural events to enrich their experiences on professional and personal levels.

In this context, Mr. Ali Al Ahli, Director of Human Resources Management & Services, FAHR, explained that the initiative comes within the framework of the Authority’s keenness and interest in contributing to the success of "2016  ... Year of Reading," initiative launched by His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan earlier this year, and closely followed up by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

He pointed out that FAHR had recently held the first of "Reading Club" sessions at its headquarters in Dubai, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of the Authority, HE Laila Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Programs & HR Planning, HE Ibrahim Fikri, Executive Director of Support Services, in addition to FAHR sector and department directors, employees, and Ms. Salam Al Eisa, expert, HR training and development in Namaa company.

Al Ahli reviewed the many initiatives and projects launched by FAHR recently to support "2016  ... Year of Reading" initiative including: digital library that was loaded on the internal employee portal. It allows them to download their favorite publications in various fields and disciplines, or share books that have been read with the rest of employees. He revealed plans to organize a visit for FAHR employees to the book fair in the emirate of Sharjah, and an event under the slogan "Book Fair in Dubai”.

The Director of HR Management & Services said that FAHR intends to organize a knowledge competition for its employees, in order to enhance and disseminate a culture of knowledge management among the staff, explaining that three contest categories in the field of knowledge transfer management will be honored: outstanding manager, outstanding leader and outstanding employee.

Ms. Salam Al Eisa, gave a presentation on happiness in the work environment and its impact on the organization in general and employees in particular, noting that the issue of happiness at work has been the focus of many government and private institutions over the past few years.
