How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. FAHR adopts a model to provide its services in packages to government entities

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), praised the Authority’s performance and great achievements in a relatively short period, in terms of developing human capital at the level of the Federal Government and establishing integrated and globally recognized HR systems, policies, and legislation.

HE expressed his appreciation to the efforts of the Authority employees during the past years in general, and last year in particular, as they worked very hard as one team, to achieve the Authority’s objectives, and Human Resources Strategy in the Federal Government 2017-2021.

In his speech at the annual forum of the Authority's leaders held recently in Dubai, HE Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Awar said that the Authority functions in complete harmony and integration to achieve the same ambitions, aims and goals, regardless of its employees’ positions and grades and the nature of sectors and departments.

HE agreed with the Authority's team on several key principles and guidelines for the future work. Teams will be formed to develop service packages to be provided by the Authority to its customers in the best possible manner. In addition, the Authority will adopt, during the coming period,  a new approach based on principles of partnership with customers in relation to services, and development of programs, policies and projects, to achieve the broader objectives that the Authority has been created for: serving the government and its employees, achieve  happiness of the Emirati society, realize the UAE Vision 2021 and national agenda,  and empower the federal entities to achieve this goal.

He stressed the importance of focusing on advanced skills and seven-star services of the UAE's state-run, competitive and competitive global competitiveness, efficiency, and productivity to serve as a repository of government ideas for the management and development of human capital.

For her part, HE Aisha Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of HR Policies Sector, reviewed the sector’s most important initiatives during 2018. These included developing violations and grievances system; updating Balanced Scorecard and HR systems and policies; following up HR enablers with the Prime Minister’s Office; updating of a learning strategy in the Federal Government, preparing strategy for learning in the Federal Government; conducting a series of studies on HR indicators such as employee turnover, productivity, impact of sick leaves and promotions, etc.

She said: “The Authority intends to develop a range of vital projects and initiatives in the coming period, including a specialized experts' platform in accordance with the guide to enhancing government expertise, a project to assess HR maturity in local governments, a study on the impact of technological developments on public jobs and on the advanced skills required by educational institutions. It is also preparing to release issues No 8 and 9 of specialized semi-annual HR Echo Magazine, prepare the second version of behavioral competency framework, and make necessary arrangements for the UAE Government annual meetings 2018”.

HE Laila Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Programs & HR Planning Sector, talked at the forum about the key initiatives being implemented by the sector during 2018. These included creating e-Learning Portal, updating the electronic workforce strategic planning system, e-employment system, linking with HR departments in local governments through ESB, and providing an electronic platform for smart reporting of government HR indicators.

She noted that the Authority will launch the electronic linking project between the strategic manpower planning system and the electronic federal budget (Hyperion),  and will follow up the implementation of the training programs under Ma’arif initiative for the Federal Government’s preferred training partners. “The Authority will also hold the eighth edition of the International Human Resources Conference, as well as a range of HR Club forums at the State level”, she concluded.

HE Ibrahim Fikri, Executive Director of Support Services Sector at the Authority, spoke about the Authority's most important plans in the field of supporting services, including: implementing training programs on the concept of innovation; providing specialized training programs for the employees of the Authority on shaping the future; developing a guide to delegation of powers; and launching a variety of initiatives and activities under the Employee Welfare Program.

For her part, Klaitham Al Shamsi, Director of Strategy and Future Department, reviewed the Authority's most prominent achievements during 2017, including: issuing the new Executive Regulations of HR Law in the Federal Government; guide to HR services accelerators, guide to enhancing government expertise, guide to career progression; guide to talent attraction and retention. In addition, she referred to the development of a HR metrics dashboard for the UAE Government and launching a project management program in cooperation with the Prime Minister’s Office.

“During the past year, the Authority launched Performance Management and Training & Development systems for Federal Government employees, completed job evaluation & description project in the Federal Government, launched the updated version of smart app. ‘FAHR’ and smart app of the employees' discount program Imtiyazat. Other projects included launch of enterprise service bus (ESB) Project, automation of Rewards and Incentives system, launch of electronic portfolios within the e-Learning Portal, implementation of 40 community initiatives and events  during the Year of Giving”, Al Shamsi said.
