28 Federal Government HR Officials Receive Training

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has concluded the specialized training program in the fundamentals of human resources, “Human Resources License” lately in its head office in Dubai. 28 graduates from the employees of the federal government have successfully completed the prescribed program of training. The program is made up of four modules amounting to 60 training hours and aims at empowerment and development of the capacities of employees and officials ofhuman resourcesdepartments in federal ministries and entities.

Within this framework, Laila Al-Suwaidi, the executive director of the sector for human resources planning in FAHR indicated that the program, which was implemented by the authority in cooperation with “Morgan International”, focused on enhancing the efficiency of human resources in the federal government and the management of talents, as well as consolidating the fundamentals and principles of human resources management, which is a real investment in human capital.

She pointed out that the successful completion of this program, which is internationally recognized, requires attending 60 training hours divided into four separate modules extended over the months of November and December of last year. The graduates were awarded the professional certificate in human resources on successfully completing the requirements of the program and passing the professional final examination.

Laila Al-Suwaidi explained that the program has focused on five different themes, the first of which is competencies, which dealt with leadership and management of relations, consultancies and communication. The second theme dealt with talents, including recruitment and rendition of talented employees together with methods of enhancement of functional harmony, continuous learning, growth and stimulation and incentives. The third theme dealt with the institution, including the responsibilities of human resources, institutional efficiency and development, in addition to workforce planning, employees’ relations and information technology. The fourth theme dealt with the work environment, including human resources within an international context, diversity, comprehensiveness, risk management, community responsibility and human resources laws and regulations.  The last theme dealt with strategy including both corporate and human resources strategies.

She indicated that the program for the development of human resources officials in the Federal Government is considered one of the strategic initiatives of the authority which aim at the empowerment and development of human resources specialists in the federal government.
