Preparations underway to launch the e-Signature Project for federal government officials via "BAYANATI"

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced that it is set to launch the Electronic Signature Project for ministers and senior officials in the federal government on circulars, resolutions and official documents issued by them.

In this regard, HE Laila Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Programs & Human Resources Planning, said that the E-Signature Project is one of the products of human resources management information system (BAYANATI) applied in the federal government, which aims to automate all human resources procedures, including wages and salaries in ministries and federal bodies. The project, she added comes in line with the government's direction towards smart transformation, and to put the country on a higher position in terms of global leadership and competitiveness.

Al Suwaidi said: "The new project will accelerate proper implementation of HR systems, simplify procedures, ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of documents, and protect the environment. Ministers, undersecretaries, director generals, executive directors and human resources managers can electronically approve and sign decisions, circulars, without using paper."

She thanked the ministers, senior officials, federal entities and human resources departments, for the constructive cooperation with the Authority, as well as those who supported the HR Management Information System in the Federal Government, "BAYANATI" in general, and those are contributing to success of e-signature project, which is one of BAYANATI's vital projects, launched to achieve a paperless government.

Leila Al Suwaidi stressed importance of BAYANATI system as a key strategic initiative launched by the Authority, to enhance the UAE's global competitiveness. The system acts as a reference and a major source of human resources data and statistics for the Federal Government, and helps automate all human resources procedures operated by employees using self-service function, which saves time, effort, money and human resources.

The Authority has gone a long way in entring the signatures of ministers and officials in the Federal Government into the new system as part of preparations for the final launch of the project.

In a statement during puting his signature in the system, HE Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zaiodi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, praised the efforts of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources in developing the institutional work system in the Federal Government, by automating all human resources procedures in ministries and federal entities.

"These efforts come in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership to achieve the objectives of electronic and smart transformation, led by His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE an Ruler of Dubai", he said.
