The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has launched the policy for the governance of the Fast-Track Talent Program in the Federal Government, recently adopted by the Cabinet. This policy aims to support the outstanding competencies and talents working in federal ministries and entities, and to create a positive and motivating work environment for them.
This policy is in line with the vision of the UAE government, which is focused on the development and empowerment of young promising talents, exceptional competencies, and distinctive experiences within the federal government. It seeks to offer all the necessary resources and opportunities required for their success, reflecting positively on their performance, raising productivity levels, and contributing to the achievement of national targets and ambitious strategic plans of federal ministries and entities.
" FAHR has established a fast-track program for promising and exceptional government talents, following the best contemporary practices, to ensure their professional and career development that suits their exceptional abilities. Additionally, this program improves the ability of federal entities to retain talents and competencies working for them under a set of conditions and regulations”, said H.E. Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, Acting Director-General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.
She further stated: "The fast-track program for promising government talents seeks to support and retain outstanding talents with exceptional abilities and skills in specialized and technical fields required by federal entities. This support is provided by granting them job promotions according to specific procedures and criteria, on the condition that the talents, competencies, and skills possessed by the employee contribute to improving the quality and productivity of the workplace, as evidenced by specific performance indicators that are continuously measured and documented”.
Al Suwaidi emphasized that the fast-track program for promising government talents provides flexibility for federal entities to retain talents by adopting this new concept, reducing the turnover of exceptional talents and competencies within federal entities. This initiative is intended to increase productivity and enhance performance efficiency. She pointed out that this program is applicable to all talents working within federal entities governed by the Human Resources Law of the federal government.
