How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

Refine search results?

If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The filters can be found to the top of your results.

FAHR briefs ministries and federal authorities on HR Management Manuals

Sunday June 21, 2015

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) recently held a series of educational workshops in a number of ministries and federal entities, to acquaint employees with the HR legislation manuals issued earlier to ensure proper application of HR systems, policies and regulations in the Federal Government.

In this context, Moza Al Serkal, Acting Director of Policies & Legal Affairs at FAHR, explained that the workshops aim to support the employees working in the ministries and federal agencies, especially those in charge of human resource departments, in understanding the proper implementation of laws and legislation related to human capital at the Federal Government level.

She said: “The manual will contribute to enhancing the work system in the Federal Government, raise the efficiency of its institutions, and help these institutions improve the quality of services provided to customers, in order to achieve the aspirations, under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai”

Moza Al Serkal added that the workshops proved to be extremely useful and interactive and drew the attention of the Federal Government Employees. Participants were introduced to the objectives HR Manual, mainly activating the role of human resources in bringing about the desired change, and how to deal with the document, taking into account that it is closely linked to the regulations in place. She pointed out that the FAHR team focused during the field visits to various ministries and federal independent authorities, on explaining the reference sources of the manual, as well as the flow chart of  each procedure contained therein, which are consistent with the Human Resource Law in the Federal Government and its implementing regulations. She said that FAHR will conduct more visits to ministries and federal authorities to ensure proper understanding of the HR management manual.

Al Serkal said: “Employees in the ministries and federal entities now know how to obtain legal advice using communication channels with FAHR legal consulting team, and we have allocated more than 10 communication channels for this purpose including: the Authority’s website (www.fahr.gov.ae),  e-mail, smart application, BMC Remedy Service Desk, Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) technology, "Twitter", official correspondence, awareness messages (An Eye On, Did You Know), legal clinics, live chat software (which enables communication with all customers to provide immediate responses to their queries, in addition to toll-free number 600525524, and fax 2953444/04”.

It should be noted FAHR had formed a legal consulting team in late 2010 as part of its keenness to create a sound legal culture among the employees of ministries and federal agencies about human resource legislation, policies and regulations applied in the Federal Government, by responding to inquiries and questions related to legal issues.
