Modification of the measures against COVID-19 at the Federal Government

Tuesday December 21, 2021

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources addressed today a circular to all ministries and federal entities, according to which it amended some procedures against Covid-19 pandemic at the level of the federal government. This came after coordination with the competent authorities in the country, and in line with the directives of the UAE government regarding the adoption of the green pass application for entry to all federal entities by employees and customers, in all emirates of the country, and entry shall be limited to those who are vaccinated and those exempt from vaccination, starting from January 3, 2022.

The authority urged the ministries and federal entities to abide by the procedures contained in its circular No. 21 of 2021, so that entry to federal entities is limited to people who have received two doses of any Covid-19 vaccine approved in the country, plus boosters, and who have Al-Hosn application showing green color. All recipients of both the vaccine and the booster doses must do a PCR test every 14 days in order to ensure maintaining the green pass on Al-Hosn application.

As for the category of employees and customers who are exempt from vaccination, they are allowed to enter the federal entities, provided that their status on Al-Hosn shows green color, and they have to do a PCR test every 7 days in order to ensure maintaining the green pass on Al-Hosn application.

As for the customers who are children under the age of 16, and have green pass in Al-Hosn application, they can enter the federal entities without having to show any PCR test.

However, the unvaccinated employees and customers are not allowed to enter the federal entities, and the same goes for people whose status in Al-Hosn shows gray color due to the expiry of their PCR result validity.

Free tests for federal government employees

The authority called on federal government employees to take advantage of the free Covid-19 test service provided by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, through the “Shifaa” App, or the online link for the free Covid-19 test service, provided by the Ministry at https://2u.pw/ewLUT .

It urged all federal entities to observe the rules of public health and safety, and to take all precautionary and necessary measures that were previously circulated, regarding the governance of measures to address the Covid-19 pandemic and the mechanism for registering infected people, those who came in close contact with them, and the vaccinated, at the Human Resources Information Management System of the Federal Government "Bayanati", and take advantage of the indicative guide for dealing with infected employees or those who came in close contact with them or suspected of having symptoms of the Covid-19 virus in the workplaces in the federal entities, as well as the indicative sanctions guide for the violations committees formed at the federal entities when dealing with employees who are not abiding by the precautionary measures to limit the spread of epidemics.
