How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

Refine search results?

If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The filters can be found to the top of your results.

FAHR Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Australian Institute of Human Resources (AHRI)

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Australian Institute of Human Resources (AHRI), on the sidelines of the Sixth international Conference on Human Resources organized by FAHR, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, which concluded on Tuesday, with the participation of 500 HR specialists and 30 speakers from 10 countries worldwide.

 

Under the MoU signed by Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of FAHR,  and Lyn Goodyear, Chief Executive Officer of AHRI, the  two sides will join forces to conduct training programs to develop human resources in the UAE federal government, hold joint conferences,  propose speakers for conferences organized by FAHR and  HAIR, as well as share studies on human resource management.

Commenting on the event, HE Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar stressed the importance of this partnership with AHRI, one of the world's largest organizations in the field of human resources, to help in the development of the capabilities of the federal government employees, and add to the many vital initiatives launched by FAHR, which will have a positive impact on the implementation of HR strategy in the federal government, the UAE Vision 2021 and national agenda.

His Excellency explained that the MoU reflects the keenness of FAHR to empower the national human capital and in the federal government, leverage its competitiveness on the global level, and achieve the aspirations the UAE’s leadership, represented by His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

Mrs. Lyn Goodyear expressed his happiness with the signing of the MoU, pointing out that the Australian Institute of Human Resources (AHRI) aims to strengthen cooperation with the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) and assist the federal government in the establishment and implementation of human capital management best practices.

In the meantime, FAHR concluded on Wednesday in Dubai two specialized workshops, in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), on the sidelines of the 6th International Conference on Human Resources organized by FAHR, attended by dozens of specialists in the field of human resources from public and private sectors.

HE Ibrahim Fikri, Executive Director of Support Services in FAHR explained that the first workshop presented by Amy Baxendale, Senior Employer Solutions Manager CIPD GCC, entitled "The Role of Human Resource Business Partner: Where are we now? What are the prospects for future?” It highlighted the important role of business partnerships in organizing human resource function, the major challenges faced, the four principles for the implementation of smart approaches to business partnerships, changing aspects of HR business partnerships, and key issues and topics that are raised today in this regard.

The second workshop, presented by Sarah Davies, Senior Learning and Development Consultant CIPD GCC, focused on the advantages of using social media in the field of human resources. Ibrahim Fikri noted that the participants learned about the ways to optimize the use of social networking human resource issues, and the increasing role of such networking in talent attraction and  retention, with practical examples of the experiences of some global organizations regarding the use of social media.
