Wednesday September 19, 2018

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has indicated that 655 human resources procedures have been implemented electronically in ministries and federal entities through the Federal Government's HR Management Information System (BAYANATI) since the beginning of 2018 until early September.

Shaimaa Al Awadhi, Director of Human Resource Information System at the Authority, explained that approximately 655 thousand HR procedures and transactions were implemented by the employees of ministries and federal entities, as well as HR departments in these entities from the beginning of 2018 until the beginning of September, about 557 thousand of which were self-service procedures.

She revealed that Federal Government employees had conducted 38,000 personal data updates and 11,000 procedures to present and update the employee's academic qualifications details.

"BAYANATI" as an integrated platform for HR procedures

Shaima al-Awadhi said that 62 ministries and federal bodies currently operate under the umbrella of "BAYANATI" system, which was officially launched at the level of the Federal Government in 2012, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance.

She added: “This important electronic system helps to automate all HR procedures, including wages and salaries in the ministries and federal entities from the date an employee is appointed until his retirement. It increases the performance of human resources based on modern concepts and international standards. It forms the foundation for a unified Federal Government database that reflects HR status, supports decision makers and facilitates planning processes.

BAYANATI Services

al-Awadhi explained that the system provides a wide range of services to Federal Government employees. It ensures the payment of salaries through a unified system and enables employees to complete all human resources procedures through the self-service portal assigned for each employee. It also helps speed up electronic approvals for certain procedures. HR.

She noted that self-service is one of the most important componenets of the system, as it enables Federal Government employees to complete and follow-up their own HR procedures. This function, according to her, would greatly facilitate the provision of human resources services in ministries and federal agencies and helps HR departments to focus on Strategic programs and initiatives rather than daily routine tasks.
