The Authority transfers knowledge to 27 local and international entities during the first half

Monday July 18, 2022

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) stated that it shared the successful experiences it had and the knowledge and expertise that it gained in the field of human capital development and management with 27 local and international entities during the first half of this year.

In this respect, Meitha Kolthoum, Director of the Strategy and Future Department at the Authority, stated that the Authority has received dozens of requests from both local and international government and private institutions this year in which they expressed a desire to include the Authority as a benchmark. These institutions explained that the reason for that was to learn more about the Authority’s experience in the field of human resources empowerment and the development of the institutional work system across the federal government.

Further, she stated that the Authority held 27 benchmarking sessions between the beginning of this year and end of last June. The sessions were held both in-person and virtually and included participants from several government institutions operating inside and outside the United Arab Emirates, including 3 international delegations who represented the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Iraq, and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The participating delegations were familiarized with the UAE’s experience in the field of managing and empowering human resources, and attracting competencies and talents, and expressed admiration for the leading status that the country has been able to achieve globally in the field of government efficiency, digital services, and advanced electronic human resources systems.

In addition to that, Meitha pointed out that many federal and local government institutions were briefed on the initiatives and strategic projects that the Authority implements at the federal government level. These included: The Ministry of Interior, Ajman Government, Umm Al Quwain Smart Government, Dubai Government Human Resources Department, Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, the United Arab Emirates Space Agency, the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the Securities and Commodities Authority, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, and the Ministry of Culture and Youth.

Furthermore, Meitha affirmed the Authority's keenness to exchange the best expertise, practices and successful global experiences in the field of human resources with government and private institutions, whether inside or outside the country, in such a way as to contribute to the development of work tools and systems in the federal government, increase productivity of ministries and federal entities, and enhance the attractiveness of the work environment, which is what country’s wise leadership has always emphasized.

Finally, she invited the authorities and institutions that wish to learn about the best practices and experiences of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources to take advantage of the benchmarking service that the Authority provides free of charge by submitting a service request through the Customer Happiness System available on the Authority’s website at www.fahr.gov.ae . The Authority’s website serves as an interactive electronic portal that includes all the services the Authority provides to the public.
