The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced the successful completion of the electronic link of sick leaves of employees working for the ministries and federal entities operating HR management information system "BAYANATI". The sick leaves will be entered into the system automatically immediately after their issuance and ratification through DHA’s “Salama’’ and ‘’Shiryan’’ systems.
HE Laila Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Programs & Human Resources Planning, said that FAHR and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) have recently launched an electronic connectivity project between BAYANATI on one hand, and Salama and Shiryan systems of DHA on the other. She explained that the project aimed at entering sick leaves of employees at the ministries and federal bodies operating BAYANATI automatically in the system once they are issued and ratified by "Salama" and ‘’Shiryan’’ systems, which deal with DHA hospitals and clinics, and private hospitals and clinics operating under the umbrella of DHA, respectively.
Shedding more light on the project, Laila Al Suwaidi said: “Transaction will require no human intervention by the employee. The national identity number will be matched with the employee’s name to verify the identity of the patient, and the sick leave will be approved through BAYANATI System according to the procedure followed by each party. It should be noted that the Authority had developed at the beginning of last year, a mechanism to link BAYANATI system with the Ministry of Health and Prevention, in order to enter and register sick leaves of employees of the ministries and federal entities operating the system automatically."
Shaimaa Al Awadhi, Director of HR Information System, said that the new mechanism for sick leave registration benefits 42 ministries and federal entities, and that it will contribute to reducing the steps required to entering sick leaves in the BAYANATI system 6 to only 3 steps. She noted that the mechanism will simplify procedures, ensure accuracy, preserve the environment, as well as eliminate illegal practices, through avoiding non-certified leaves.
She stressed the utmost importance of BAYANATI system as one of the Federal Government’s strategic and vital projects launched by the Authority. “The system enhances the UAE’s competitiveness, and is a reference and a major source of HR statistics. It helps automate all HR transactions, including salaries and converts them to smart services operated via self-service function, saving time, effort, money and human resources”, she noted.
Shaimaa Al Awadhi concluded that BAYANATI system, since its launch in 2012, has succeeded in bringing about a radical change in the institutional work system that was prevalent in the Federal Government. The system, she added, introduced a new culture of work based on “paperless human resources transactions’’, and became the smart portal for electronic HR procedures and systems for the federal Government in a very short period.
