How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

Refine search results?

If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The filters can be found to the top of your results.

FAHR launches ‘Ask the Legal Expert’ service in a new shape

Tuesday July 17, 2018

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced that Ask the Legal Expert service launched in 2015 and made available on its website www.fahr.gov.ae, has undergone extensive renovation recently. The move comes to better respond to inquiries and legal advice requests received from employees of ministries and federal entities regarding HR policies, regulations and systems in the federal government, and to ensure that the legal consultation is provided to recipients with the required speed and accuracy.

The service updating process took place during an awareness workshops held recently by the Authority in its headquarters in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, which was attended by dozens of human resources and legal affairs department officials in the ministries and federal entities. The workshop was delivered by Aisha Al-Dah, policies & research executive, at the Policies & Legal Affairs Department, FAHR.

Hamad Buamim, Director of Policies and Legal Affairs Department, FAHR, said: "Ask the Legal Expert is an important platform for the federal government's human resources regulations, systems and policies, providing users with a range of valuable services, including: interactive legal advice in record time to human resource department staff at the ministries and federal entities, on how to implement the HR Law in managing their departments; automation of relevant government decisions, and ensuring proper implementation of HR Law and executive regulations.

“The innovation process to Ask the Legal Expert service included updating the content of responses to many questions to clarify the various human resources procedures implemented at the federal government level. These include, among many, employment, allowances and bonuses, leaves, transfer, deputation, loan, promotion, training courses & programs, termination of service, workplace violations and grievances.”

He also pointed out that updating the content of responses comes in line with the provisions of the new executive regulations of the Human Resources Law in the Federal Government, issued by the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (1) of 2018, endorsed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The Director of Policies and Legal Affairs explained that "Ask the Legal Expert" service will play a crucial role in measuring the efficiency of the various human resources procedures in the federal government such as leaves, promotions, employment, training programs, etc. He called on the human resources departments in ministries and federal entities to acquaint their employees with all the electronic services and human resource systems adopted to develop the and improve the performance, stressing that the service is available to all members of the community wishing to see and take advantage of the human resources procedures used in the federal government.
