The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced its participation in the UAE Hackathon 2021 organized by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), in cooperation with the National Program for Happiness and Wellbeing, in its first virtual version, which started on February 11, 2021 and continues until March 06.
In this regard, Salwa Abdullah, Director of Projects and Programs Department at the Authority, explained that the Authority’s participation in the UAE Hackathon contest this year comes under "Work Efficiency and Productivity" axis. The Authority seeks through this participation to find innovative technical solutions to develop the efficiency of government work and enhance productivity of employees of ministries and federal entities.
She said: “The Authority will receive proposals presented by the participants through hackathon platform, which will be evaluated by a specialized committee. We urge federal government employees, students, specialists and all segments and groups of the UAE society to participate in the contest and contribute to shaping the future of government work in the country by presenting creative and innovative ideas.”
The UAE Hackathon is the largest event of its kind in the region, and it is a series of events (hackathons) across the seven emirates of the UAE, organized by TRA, as part of its efforts to spread the culture of digital transformation in the UAE.
The UAE Hackathon brings together all groups of society, including university students, high school students, employees, entrepreneurs, information technology specialists and others, to work on developing solutions and ideas in the areas identified by hackathon, using the available data.
