How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

Refine search results?

If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The Human Resources Club Stresses the Importance of the Human Touch in the workplace

Tuesday May 16, 2023

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has recently held the third virtual session of the Human Resources Club in 2023, under the theme "The Human Touch in the Workplace." The session was attended by over 400 club members, including employees and affiliates from within and outside the country.

The session, which was held through live streaming technology, featured Ms. Maysoon Shah, a psychology specialist at Life Works. She emphasized the importance of the human touch in the workplace for both employees and stakeholders, as it improves their mental and emotional well-being, increases their productivity, enhances their time management skills, and positively impacts customer satisfaction. The human touch also boosts their trust in the organization and elevates their satisfaction with the services provided to them.

She also highlighted that modern technology and artificial intelligence have negatively impacted the human touch in the workplace. They have, in one way or another, led to an increased sense of isolation among employees and reduced satisfaction levels regarding communication between the organization's leadership and its employees. Additionally, these technologies have resulted in higher levels of stress for employees due to the overwhelming amount of information flowing through these channels.

Every year, 300 billion dollars are the Losses Incurred by Global Organizations due to Employees’ Stress.

Maysoon Shah mentioned that according to the findings of a global study, organizations worldwide lose approximately 300 billion dollars annually due to employees’ stress. Furthermore, more than a million employees are absent from work daily for the same reason. Additionally, 60% to 80% of workplace accidents are attributed to stress and employees feeling pressured.

She also warned that the feeling of stress among employees has numerous negative effects on their mental and physical health. It can lead them to withdraw socially, remain silent, and refrain from actively participating in the work environment. Additionally, it can cause problems with sleep, stomachaches, frequent headaches, general fatigue and exhaustion, as well as decreased focus and attention.

She provided a number of tips for managers and leaders of organizations to enhance the human touch in the work environment. Some of such tips include:

  • Actively listen to employees and show empathy towards them.
  • Care about their feelings and emotions.
  • Provide support when they need assistance.
  • Appreciate the efforts of employees and recognize their contributions.
  • Reward and praise them for their achievements.
