The Authority offers 4220 Training Programs for Government employees through Al Mawrid

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced that it has successfully offered 4220 virtual training programs for the employees of ministries and federal entities through the Authority’s Federal Government E- Learning Portal Initiative "Al Mawrid". Over 86,000 employees working in various ministries and federal entities took advantage of these programs.

The Authority has confirmed that its e-learning Portal "Al- Mawrid" recorded over 321,000 visits between late 2019, when the Portal was first launched, and the end of September 2022, with over 52,000 electronic participation certificates issued to the participants over the same period.

24 thousand employees participated in 30 programs under Ma’aref Forum

Maryam Al-Zarooni, Director of the HR Planning Department at the Authority, stated that nearly 24,000 employees working in ministries and federal entities benefited from the virtual workshops held by the Authority between the beginning of this year and the end of last September under the Annual Ma’aref Training & Development Forum.

She added the Authority held 30 virtual training programs under the Annual Ma’aref Training & Development Forum. The programs featured an average of 65 training hours, 24 of which focused on developing and enhancing the special competencies of the employees, whereas the other 6 focused on developing their behavioral competencies.

"Elite" Initiative

91 Specialized Programs and 12 Job Families

Maryam Al-Zarooni explained that the “Elite” Vocational Certificates for Federal Government Employees initiative has been well received and had incredible success as 91 professional certificates were issued. The initiative was launched by the Authority last year with the aim of developing and enhancing the skills of the employees of ministries and federal entities by offering them certificates and professional programs through local and international universities and training institutes.

She pointed out that the professional certificates offered by "Elite" covered 12 job families. These were: Finance and accounting, human resources, auditing and governance, health and safety, institutional development, media, climate change and environment, program and project management, judicial and legal, engineering, and information technology, and support services.

Sharifa Al Bashr, Acting Head of the Training and Continuing Education Policies Department at FAHR, explained that the specialized professional certification initiative aims to empower federal government employees and provide them with the necessary specialized skills to fulfill the institutional goals and achieve a better future. It also seeks to equip them with advanced skills and specialized capabilities by awarding them specialized professional certificates offered by the best training providers and leading institutes and universities across all disciplines within 20 job families at preferential prices.

Al Bashr called upon federal government employees to visit the federal government's e-learning portal "Al Mawrid" at www.al-mawrid.ae, to benefit from all the services it provides, and to participate in the various available and carefully selected training courses and programs which aim to develop competencies in ministries and federal agencies across various fields and areas.

She further stated that the Authority is always keen to provide reliable quality e-training for federal government employees through Al Mawrid which is an advanced smart training platform that serves federal government employees. The Platform focuses on developing the employees’ behavioral and specialized skills and provides them with general and specialized e-training programs and courses, some of which are provided free of charge while others are offered at preferential prices. These programs and courses consider the employees’ needs and help develop their capabilities and allows them to meet the requirements of the labor market.
