The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced the dates and the theme of the eighth FAHR International Conference to be held on the 10th and 11th of April, 2018 under the theme “Tomorrow’s HR Starts Today”. The conference is held annually in Dubai, with the participation of hundreds of HR specialists and stakeholders from around the globe. FAHR International Conference has been widely considered to be a premium HR platform to share best practices in the fields of developing human capital, to empower talents, and lead younger generations.
This announcement came in conjunction with the occasion of FAHR signing a cooperation agreement with INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions to organize the event. INDEX will provide all logistical and marketing support for the conference, inviting and hosting local and international presenters of specialized studies and research papers, in addition to designing, creating and running of an interactive website for the conference that provides online registration facilities, with a provision stipulating that the website would be the property of, and supervised by FAHR.
His Excellency Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al Awar, Director General of FAHR, represented the Authority, while INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions was represented by Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding.
Dr. Al Awar expressed his happiness about cooperating with INDEX to organize this event and he said: “The International Human Resources Conference is one of FAHR’s most vital and strategic projects, in which we aim to shed light on the global best practices and examine global challenges and hurdles faced by HR departments in both the government and private sectors, with the aim to reach and propose the best possible solutions”.
Dr. Al Awar pointed out that the 8th edition of the International FAHR Conference will examine many important HR-related topics such as “leading change, most wanted human talent for the job market by 2020, smart HR systems, how to create a work environment that attracts qualified and talented persons, changes in HR practice, and future of HR in light of tremendous wave of online and smart transformations”.
