If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The filters can be found to the top of your results.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) underlined the importance of Emirati Children's Day initiative, which was launched under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, in establishing the principle of commitment to Emirati children’s rights in general, and their proper rearing as future builders.

The Authority celebrated the Emirati Children's Day, which falls on March 15 every year, through several activities performed by employees’ children enrolled in the Authority’s childcare centre, in the presence of a number of officials and employees of the Authority and parents. The ceremony began with the national anthem, and included various recreational and artistic activities.

HE Ibrahim Ahmad Fikri, Executive Director of Support Services Sector,  stressed the importance of the event, noting that the Authority gives high priority to childcare  importance to children, in view of their future role in achieving the vision and aspirations of the United Arab Emirates and its wise leadership.

He said: “The human resource legislation and policies in the Federal Government reflect the UAE Government's support for women and children,  as well as its appreciation to the role of women in children's upbringing.   Women are therefore given sufficient flexibility to care for their children, allowed means to achieve better work-life balance, and encouraged to establish childcare centres in workplaces for employees’ children”.

HE Ibrahim Fikri explained that the Authority’s efforts in support of women and children included the establishment of a nursery a few years ago, to serve the employees of the Authority and seven other government and private entities, which contributed to achieving the desired gender balance,   enhancing the role of working women and providing much needed care for employees’ children in those entities.

HE concluded that the nursery provides an ideal educational environment for the employees’ children, and allows them to practice educational and sports activities that would develop their talents and instil a culture of creativity in them. He further noted that the nursery has been designed according to the best health and safety standards in the world, as it is adopting  British curriculum.
